Put Windows 7 on Packard Bell Easynote MX52-B-071
-
Hello, I have a laptop that was given to me as a gift, it's a PACKARD BELL EASYNOTE_MX52-B-071 from 2008 and it came with Windows Vista Home, which is giving me problems. My question is whether I could upgrade it to Windows 7 Professional and if it wouldn't be too complicated to do so, if it's even possible. If possible, I would like to format it and do a clean installation. Thank you.

Surely it can be done, the problem will be getting the drivers for Windows 7, which at least do not exist on the Packard Bell website.
What I would do is back up the recovery discs or an image of the current system to have it as a backup, and once that's done, pull up your sleeves and install Windows 7 clean, because until you try it, you won't know what Windows 7 has been able to detect (it's pretty good at this) and what not, and from what I see, you can get almost everything from the AMD website:

Hello yorus. Thank you for your response. The question is as follows: if I make an image of the system on an external hard drive via USB, format it and install Windows 7, if it fails or does not work well, how would I recover the image of Vista, that is, leave it as it was. Would this be possible? Thank you.

there are several programs to recover the image, but look at Packard Bell that will have the image of yours
Acronis True Image or something similar

thanks ferelys but I already looked it up and this laptop is already outdated. you asked me about acronis true image when I install it in the vista installation or in the windows 7 installation.
let me clarify: I install acronis on windows vista and make an image of the system.
then I format and install 7. for the reason that if I don't, I will recover it with acronis, but I wonder if I format the zcronis program, will it also be erased or not? -
