      Jotole go for 200 BCLK and the maximum multiplier, those make 4000 MHz, but you have to give it a minimum of 1.26v of vcore, set the memory to a safe frequency and set the UCLK to double the RAM.

      What is the maximum multiplier for those CPUs?

      Come on, you have to give them voltage, also the QPI or Vtt you will have to raise the voltage a bit.

      Those may limit themselves by having a low multiplier and maybe that motherboard can't handle much BCLK, go for 210.

      regards

        @packosoft:

        I've always been blown away by this motherboard
        jotole, if you look for other xeons give me a shout ?

        Hehe, we're in touch. ?.

        Best regards…

        @amd125:

        The motherboard with the liquid mounted is impressive. A beauty. I wouldn't give a system like this the use it deserves, but I admit I'd like to try it :troll:

        That's the idea, tinker with it to see what it can do against the most modern platforms

        Best regards.

        This one won't reach 4000 fjavi, it has a multiplier of 16x, at most I'll push it to 3.4, that's being very optimistic. I'm going for 3.200.

        Although the ideal for these motherboards would be a multiplier of 21, from what I've read in the EVGA forums. I didn't touch it last night, tonight I'll go back to work with it to see what we can achieve.

        Best regards..

          If after answering I realized that those xeons had been overclocked too much, with a 16 multiplier you do nothing and even less with two at once, they should have a 19 and 20 with turbo, one less than the 920, but 16 is very little.

          it's a shame because maybe they would have gone up well.

          regards

            Jotole, I have to tell you that you are an animal :troll:. You are a piece of a beast, and perfectly mounted. The doubt is what you have done with the MSI.

              Well they go up wonderfully fjavi, I already have the OC stabilized…...........xD, I still need to touch a couple of voltages, but I already have it mastered.

              Last night I finished very late and I didn't bother to upload pictures, but what I do have very clear is that the motherboard is a real beast in OC, I thought that having fewer power phases than others in its range it would be little or nothing, but none of that.

              I got some great bclk of 215, which for that multi of 16 puts the Xeons at 3,440 Ghz, that's nothing. 1,3 Ghz of gain is not bad for the smallest Xeons in the family, honestly I didn't expect to get there. I was happy with the 3,2.

              Tonight I will start with the tests of the comparison I have prepared with the trio of titans and the 3930. But from what little I saw last night, there will be surprises in performance.......... ?.

              I will also leave you screenshots of that OC here...!!!

              Best regards...

              @garfield:

              Hahaaaaa, I'll take it as a compliment….. ?. Thank you very much....!!

              Well the assembly can improve a lot, in fact it's a bit "that way", I have the hard drives of the team on the table on top of a box.........xD. I had to remove the hard drive bay to be able to put the rl, since the size of the motherboard was eating up the space of the depots.......

              The MSI is still here with me next to the 3930, I won't get rid of that platform, and even less of the 3930 that I have so good........ ;).

              For now, the memories that have the SR mounted are my Corsair platinum, so I have on the way some that match the Evga, some Corsair Dominator GT @ 2133 CL9, the perfect memories for this motherboard.

              This is an experiment that I have wanted to do for a long time, but in the end it is most likely that I will stay with it too, even if it is to put it as an htpc............:ugly:

              Best regards

                  Jotole I know that those should go up a lot but the multiplier is limiting them quite a bit, 215 BCLK would be very good if I had for example a 19 multiplier.

                  I'm sure that one of those would easily reach 4ghz, but only with BCLK it's more difficult, also two, also since those frequencies are not that high for those CPUs it will be easy to reach a high BCLK.

                  But it's a shame that they didn't have a higher multiplier, because they would reach frequencies of most Nehalen, that's what happened in that socket, the 920 also comes to life with boards that allow the 21 multiplier.

                  I remember on 775 some 6420 or even 6300 that went up a lot, although they required good boards that could go up a lot FSB, I put a 6420 at 3800 MHz and it came to 2100 and a 6300 I put it at 540 FSB.

                  regards

                    Well, I still need to get two bigger Xeons.

                    For now I have finished the tests I wanted to do, with a good batch of games. The results are at least shocking. To be the smallest Xeons in the family, they have really performed well.

                    This week I will try to create the thread with the results obtained, and we can see the differences between both platforms.

                    Best regards

                      Can't you put two 920s or two 950s in it?

                      Because they should be cheaper, although I think that at the resolutions you use you don't need much more frequency, at lower resolutions and if you put the 3 Titans you should win.

                      Also that socket 1366 is good I still use it and the truth is that it has been quite profitable for me, it defends itself quite well for what I want.

                                      Hi everyone, sorry for not stopping by here before….

                                      Well, in the SR you can only mount Xeon processors, the "normal" 1366 ones, don't work, at least in dual CPU configuration. The processor needs to have dual QPI link, and only the Xeons have it. Anyway thanks for the offer. ?

                                      I don't have the SR anymore, it found a boyfriend and I sold it, I bought it to try it out and the truth is that the performance is very good, it has nothing to envy to the platforms that exist now.

                                      In games where frequency is more noticeable, obviously the 4.9 Ghz of the 3930 stand out. But in games that make better use of cores that's where that platform is noticeable.

                                      I have data from the tests, but my PC, as usual, is disassembled :ugly:, and I have the tables on it, hopefully it will be operational next week and I'll post the data....

                                      Regards...!!!

                                      P.D. I've reviewed the thread and I see that there are missing photos, I don't know why, I'll upload a few with the SR-2 mounted...... ?
