Low-power Mini-ITX Haswell help
-
Hello everyone, how are you?
I take this opportunity to introduce myself (Helloooooo) and tell you that I am looking at configurations for a new PC and I need help.First of all, the needs. I'm barely going to play, not new games, I have emulators and stuff, but for that you don't need too much graphics, so I think the integrated graphics of the haswell is more than enough.
I had thought of an i5, I saw one on amazon at a good price. I don't think I need much more.
As for sound, I also don't need, I have a USB dac which is where the sound will come out.
Peeeeeeeeeero, above all, I need, I want it to be low power consumption. Now the doubts, which are not many:
Motherboard... mini ITX, no idea, good value for money, but above all low power consumption. The cheaper the better, of course, but that it is decent. As much as possible to put me at 150 euros.
SSD, something I should know? it's the first time I'm going to use one. I will have a dual system Windows Linux, I will use Windows very rarely, so I calculate that with 64Gb it will be more than enough for the operating systems.
Power supply... well, the same, that it is very efficient.
Case, I also have no idea, that it is beautiful and functional.I have the rest under control or I know where I'm going to go.
Sorry for the long post, but I didn't know where to turn anymore, the searches on google have not given me good results.
Thanks and greetings

I would put an i5 4570s, the ones that end in S are the ones that consume the least, it depends then on what you are going to connect but the GIGABYTE H87N-WIFI looks good and usually does not go over €130, the case is a matter of taste, for mini itx I love the lian li that I have in the signature of my HTPC or the bitfenix prodigy that you have in different colors, the bitfenix I have seen cheaper at coolmod and pccomponentes, regarding the ssd, being only for systems I would go for 120-128gb as the price is attractive right now and it is appreciated that extra for ssd programs, I have tried and they are good for the moment, so for me crucial M4 and samsung 840 and 830.
Power supply, well if you are not going to put a graphics card and seeing its consumption I would go for a corsair cx500m, good price good brand and modular, I don't think you need more, something more chicha and also a good brand seasonic s12.
Greetings and welcome.

First of all, welcome to the forum.
Secondly, unfortunately, I must admit that I have not been able to find a working configuration for less than 340 € including VAT.INTEL BX80646G3220 ≈ 60 €
Asrock H81M-DGS ≈ 46 €
Corsair DDR3-1333 XMS3 2*2GB ≈ 45 €
UDD Toshiba 500GB ≈ 45 €
DVDR LiteOn iHAS524 ≈ 25 €
Zalman ZM-T2 ≈ 21 €
Aerocool AP-550 ≈ 36€Total ≈ 337 € including VAT.
It is also not an i5, it is the least that is shipped in i3 with a heatsink, and the hard drive is not an SSD, but a common magnetic one, equally the cheapest I could find.
However, as good news, I can tell you that I am currently very limited to only having an iTouch 2G.
Of course, perhaps in the second-hand market it would be more feasible.

Thanks for the i5 thing, I had no idea

The Bitfenix is amazing… I've noted it down, thanks.
I had thought more about the cx430, but I'm not sure if it would be very fair or not.
The motherboard is what keeps giving me headaches, there I really don't know where to start. I have several noted down but none convince me completely.Regards

Regards. Thanks… the motherboard you put me is the one that has caught my attention the most so far (but the itx version), it seems of quite good quality and has just what I need, it has extra 7.1 audio but I imagine I can remove it from the bios.
I have noted the zalman ZM-T2, good price and it is beautiful.I have the memory clear, 8gb of Kingston HyperX LoVo... a bit more expensive, but it is what I am looking for.
