Very low performance and problems with ASUS K50IJ

Problems:

1. The computer does not load the operating system (I was brought to it like this, it is not mine)
2. It freezes on every operation I do:
   It takes about 20 minutes to load Windows XP Live (normally 1 minute)
   When I press something, it takes 1-5 minutes to react.
   Even in bios it takes longer than normal.
3. It alerts in bios that "TPM not detected". I do not know if it is normal and it did not come from the beginning.
4. When I try to install Windows 7, it does not detect the hard drive, if I load the drivers for sata the disk appears but does not allow Windows to be installed because it cannot create a partition and does not find any created. When I change the sata mode in bios from enhanced to compatible, the hard drive appears in the Windows installation and allows the operating system to be installed but it stays at 0% and has already been like this for 1 hour.

Hello and welcome;

I would first reset the BIOS from the board (jumper). Then, I would replace that hard drive, that diagnosis sounds familiar to me and in my case it was a broken hard drive…

BIOS is already reset. Will a checkdisk fix the hard drive problem? Mostly because I don't have another one :frio:

Remove all removable hardware: wifi card, bluetooth, dvd reader… Leave only one memory module and test. Then test with the other module.

The checkdisk doesn't work miracles… If you can put that disk as a secondary in another computer and run a Crystal Disk Info you can see if it has something damaged.

Cobito recommended a very good program here Y ¿ahora que? - HardLimit, the HDD-Regenerator.
If it's the hard drive, it's the typical program for when there's nothing to lose...
