The AMD heatsinks perform their function correctly.
The fan is probably 70x70x15mm, a size that is not as easy to find as the 80x80x25 (or the 90 ones).

The recommendation if you want to do OC is clear: Buy a good heatsink, which is not synonymous with expensive ?

If you can't change the heatsink, use a good thermal paste and maintain good case ventilation. Then keep an eye on how the temperatures are going.

      Regards.

Well, if it's 80x80x15, you have it easy... Install one of 80x80x25 that gives, at equal rpm, more flow.

If it were 80x80x25, you could install a 120 to 80 adapter and put a 120x120 fan in it, but those are things that were done before, when there wasn't as much variety of heatsinks. Now I tell you that you have better heatsinks than the stock one for very little money.

          Regards.

Here is a small comparison in which the FX 4130 appears with the stock cooler at 4.2Ghz and with a maximum temperature under load of 59ºC (fan at 100%), which is not bad.

            Best regards.

Ok thanks, but that with good thermal paste, right?

I haven't read it all, but if it says stock, it will be with the one that comes with the heatsink.

As I told you, if the fan is 80x80x15, change it for one the same but 25mm thick, and you will be able to maintain the same temperatures with fewer rpm and therefore less noise.

                Regards.

You do not say the current temperatures of your CPU.

Change the thermal paste if you have never changed it for artic silver 5 for example and measure the temperatures again, try the 4.2ghz and if they are acceptable temperatures, do not change anything.

I would not change fans, better to save for a better heatsink that will not cost much more.

                    Greetings

So just buy one of these and you'll save yourself all sorts of problems:

Cooler Master Hyper 412S CPU Cooler RR-H412-13FK-R1 Fan/Cooler

Even with this one you're already better off:

Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO CPU Cooler RR-TX3E-22PK-R1 Fan/Cooler

                        Best regards

                          @Redbanana00:

Hello, I'm going to build a computer, and for the processor I'm going to buy an AMD FX-4130 with the HS78 cooler from amd [the one that comes standard] my question is, could the performance of this be improved?
I don't know, by changing the fan [if it can be done], by putting better thermal paste... Etc
I ask this in order to instead of overclocking it to 4ghz, overclock it to 4.2
                          Could it be done?
                          Thanks in advance

Keeping the stock cooler on AMDs is optional if:

                          • The room temperature will never exceed 20º C. and/or
                          • The temperature inside the case will never exceed 30º C. and/or
                          • You don't plan to overclock. and/or
                          • You can't afford to get a better one in the short term.

For other purposes, mounting a more efficient cooler is not only recommended, but almost mandatory.

                          ...me lo dicen las voces...
