Connect the reservoir to the pump

Good evening, I want to connect the reservoir, which is an EK-RES X3 110, to the pump, which is an Alphacool DDC-1T that has an Alphacool top on it, to see if I can remove the silentbox that takes up space in the case, would that be possible?

Either one or the other... so I'll respond to what seems most sensible to me.

Keep the case, sell that silent box, sell the depo and buy a COMBO (TOP+DEPO) to which you attach the DDC

You have this EK-XRES 100 DDC MX - Acetal – EK Webshop at a very good price

And if you add this adapter you can put it attached to the back so you'll have the whole front free to put all the hard drives you want.

Anything else is going to be a disaster.

Behind or inside the box as long as there is a fan or 120mm vent holes... I recommend inside to avoid moving when assembling and disassembling... this way you can put in and take out the RL in one piece without disassembling fittings.

It also avoids the hassle of bends and 90º elbows but anyway, assemble it as you see fit.

Well, the same as in any other place :troll: … obviously that pump rotates at 3000 or 4000 RPM so it generates some electrical noise and some vibrations like any turbomachine.

If your pump is PWM there is no problem for it to work normally at low RPM but if you keep it always at full speed it will be heard... it's not the noise of a compressor but if you remove the silentbox and also put it outside the box it will be heard like this:

I don't know the noise of the rest of the components and how picky you are with that but personally I wouldn't worry because the coupling kit already has rubber to absorb the vibrations.
