Good afternoon. I have a computer with an Intel Core2 Quad Q8200 2.33 GHz, 32-bit operating system, x64 processor, 4 GB of RAM, and a 500 GB hard drive. I don't know what graphics card I can buy, I was thinking about an Nvidia 730, but I didn't dare to buy it, a little help please.

        Hello,

First of all, is your power supply of quality?

Because to put in a suitable graphics card that exponentially increases consumption, you need a power supply that is up to the task, or you could fry everything.

        Best regards

what power supply would be indicated? my cpu says the voltage is 110v. I think it's good.

Well, it is becoming necessary to know the brand and real power of that power supply.

If it meets the expected requirements, you could put something like a GTX 950, some balanced model.

Although in reality, I would go for a cheap and decent second-hand graphics card, such as an HD 6870 or higher, which with four cores will move many things. After all, you don't have the best base to put current brute graphic power.

                Greetings

As well as sylver says, that equipment is not a marvel, I would opt for a used GTX660 which is around 70/80 euros at most

In principle, 400 w would be enough to move a GT 730 or a GTX 750 Ti (which is the one I would recommend for that configuration), however, I recommend changing it for one of better quality of at least 500 w (a NOX Urano SX for example).

If you get the appropriate drivers for the motherboard and other components, I would install a 64-bit operating system to make better use of the processor.

According to San Google, your power supply is a generic Chinese one that you can find under brands like Kelyx, but although almost everyone will tell you to change it, if you are on a very tight budget and it hasn't given you any trouble so far, you can keep it <:(

Since your platform is quite old, the ideal thing is a second-hand graphics card, to avoid compatibility problems.

If you don't want / can't change the font, you can take a look at the link below, where the necessary powers and connectors are listed for different models of graphics cards (look for the ones that ask for less than 400W and from the AMD HD5000 and nVIDIA GT500 generations or older).

                        PSU REQUIREMENTS - RealHardTechX

If you can change the power supply, you wouldn't have any problems to be able to return the graphics card if it doesn't work well, or simply you are looking for the best quality / price ratio, the recommendation of whoololon is the usual one for these cases, a GTX750 and enjoy ?

                        Salu2!
