Well, we already have a 10 TB hard drive, the** Ultrastar He10 HDD**, the big brother of the Ultrastar He 8 HDD.
It's worth remembering that by September, WD ruled out the sealed helium manufacturing process, but it's clear that this has not been the case.
Now I could develop the news talking about features and performance, but that's already in the original news, so what I will highlight is what doesn't appear and is equally important: the price.

The Ultrastar He 8 (8 TB) is already on sale for around €420, while the 10 TB torpedo is estimated at around €700 with 5 years of warranty (offering only 25% more capacity) according to a report from Ars Technica.

HGST has always been at the forefront of HDDs, although since 2012 they have been part of WD.

Well it seems to be a trend as Seagate has also come out with a 10 TB HDD based on helium sealed technology.
Transfer rates and rotational speeds are not mentioned, but this trend will certainly make computers lighter. :ugly:

Good news, that means the lower-end drives will drop in price, and there are people like me who don't need a drive with so much capacity...

My question is whether audio files will sound more acute when played from these drives :ugly:
