I'm thinking about building a PC in the attic, I want to start with something good, nice and cheap, it's only going to be for playing a couple of demanding games. Let's see how you see it, the only thing that is not negotiable is the price :3

Slight observation, are you sure that a mid-range i5 wouldn't be better for you, for example? As you want to play a couple of demanding games, they will also require some processing power, although the R9 is not as CPU-dependent as some of its other cards.

If you mean that your budget is fixed, I would cut back on the case and the SSD (with 128gb you will probably still have some left over), for 600€ I think a decent i5 would fit you. If not, you can always get one later, when you cut back on your budget from another side :troll:

Yes, my idea Sylver, is to improve the CPU with a k in the future. But I have had very good experiences with these "pentium" and for the price I don't think it's throwing money away. The SSD is on purpose because it's going to be the only disk and otherwise the games won't fit.

And the case and power supply if you have any idea of something better, it's appreciated... As always, I hate cases.

So straight off with that configuration. I personally don't like the case, but you know, that's more a matter of personal taste.

As for the power supply, I trust Corsair, Seasonic, OCZ... more than NOX, but I mean it's not horrible either.

I liked it because of how it takes advantage of the space, it's a lying mATX so I can fit long graphics cards, the FA and disks at the bottom and top with double vents and an opening, I think it would work for a radiator. Tell me one that you like and I'll take a look, as long as it's not too expensive ^_^'

In the other thread we recommended to the friend neofito88 a Corsair RM750X, but as they go up in quality, they also go up in price :p, so given the limited size of your budget, what you would need is this Seasonic for example, although it delivers slightly less amperage at 12V than that NOX. To me they seem more reliable, but if you are a regular user of NOX I suppose you will also trust them.

                Greetings!

For the price I can have a Tacen Radix 600W 80silver or a Corsair vx 550W. Maybe if I stretched a little I could get an Enermax.

The case because I like it I was going to a http://www.corsair.com/es-es/carbide-series-air-240-high-airflow-micro-atx-and-mini-itx-pc-case

With that micro, maybe a GTX960 4GB is a better option, which you have for the same price <:(

                      Corsair VX550W? Where…?
That box already breaks my concept of containers suitable for introducing computers… Certainly the concept "box" expresses it perfectly :risitas: :risitas:

Regarding the power supply, I wouldn't put Tacens, as I have noted a high index of problems with them in recent years. Enermax doesn't disappoint me, and Cooler Master either.

It is the VS550, Corsair VS550 550W Power Supply for 52€. Well Fassou, the graphics card leans more towards ATI but it could perfectly be the 960. Sent from my iPad with Tapatalk

Well I keep thinking about it and I think I'll go for a Z board because I'll eventually get the bug, and the only mATX I like is the maximus. So it would be something like this:

and later I would add a graphics card, monitor and so on. Graphics card could be a Gigabyte R9 390 (it's the shortest one, just in case I put a radiator in the case in the future) with a Dell 25" IPS 1440p. Obviously in the future I plan to change the micro, possibly a 6700K, but I can wait. Anyway I'll keep thinking about it this month and I guess in April I'll start buying.

What do you think, better or worse? ?

I think it's pretty great. Tinkering is a virus that never goes away completely, so if we're going to upgrade it later, it's better to put a good foundation in ?

Question, because I already had 16GB of RAM years ago but I've never used them, is there any game/OS/app that will consume more than 8GB so soon?. Because W10 consumes less, and the truth is that I buy the PC to play Tomb Raider :ffu: and a couple more games so for now I didn't count on needing it.

Hello, well in the end after a year I decided and ordered a few things to start assembling the equipment, you can see that I take it easy especially because if it doesn't convince me completely I prefer to wait. And this year with the kaby lake I got encouraged. I kept with the idea of spending about 600€:

                                  • MSI Z270I Gaming Pro Carbon AC - 175€ + For Honor
I wanted a Z270 motherboard for when I have a K to be able to OC, and the truth is that right now the economic motherboards don't really appeal to me, so I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to buy something I like if later on I'm going to improve the equipment.

                                  • Intel Pentium G4560 3.5GHz - 59€
You already have an entire branch explaining why I bought this processor: https://foro.hardlimit.com/topic/61766/intel-pentium-g4560/

                                  • Corsair VS 650W 80 Plus - 63€
I would have liked to buy a modular one, but I preferred to put more power because in the future I don't know where this power supply will end up.

                                  • Sapphire Nitro Radeon RX 480 OC 4GB GDDR5 - 195€ + Doom
I really like the cooling that Sapphire mounts, and of course the price is very good and I think it's one of the best graphics cards I've bought for that price.

                                  • Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4 3000 PC4-24000 8GB 2x4GB CL15 - 90€
This is pure whim, I get by with 8GB and the rest I just like the aesthetics and I hate red memories.

                                  • Thermaltake Core V1 - 45€
I will talk about this case more calmly, but I am very happy, good cooling very versatile, good size and good price.

                                  alt text

I left some components by the wayside because I don't want to save on them and then not get the expected result, for example for now I'm taking advantage of an old 120GB SSD and in the future I will want to assemble a 500GB M.2 that now is out of my price range.

Thanks to everyone for the help.

Very good setup, and with the review you did on the Pentium G4560 it's clear that you won't be lacking equipment until you say to upgrade the CPU. In the end you got a box-box alt text ? ?
By the way, the graphics are amazing. Now to enjoy it ?

                                    Best regards!

@Sylver thanks. Well yes, it's a mini itx but spacious. I have to write a review when I have some time, it's pretty well made for what it costs. And I'm very happy with the graphics for the 195€ it cost...
