well I hope they work, because if not the first candidates in g skill were these and it seems that they are not 100% compatible with the amd series 8

Well, grab all a song and hit yourselves on the feet at the same time as I.
          It wasn't F.A.'s fault.
          It wasn't the micro's fault.
          It wasn't the memory's fault.
          It wasn't the motherboard's fault.
If you connect everything and press the power button and the fans don't turn...
          What could it be?
I'll give a Sugus to whoever figures it out.
          ;D

Did you connect the POWER and RESET switch connectors incorrectly and that's why it wouldn't start?

The 24-pin molex from the power supply connected backwards on the motherboard.

My first rookie mistake in this little world… I will never forget it ?

I found Sylver's story funny because the same thing happened to me.
My case was when the AT format was around. That Gigabyte was tough, I still have it.

Did you connect the 8-pin ATX?

What whoololon says, or the power strip turned off, or the motherboard's molex disconnected, or the BIOS jumper set to CLEAR, or the micro left on the table without being put in xDDDD

                              @Kernel1.0:

¿how could you connect the 24-pin molex the other way around and without damaging anything? =-O

In fact it was the old one, the 20-pin one, and they fit perfectly in both positions, you have to look at the anchoring tab ?

And at the level of operation nothing breaks because the cables that allow the flow of current do not coincide, so it does not start or anything :sisi:

Both the cables and the connectors were properly placed as well as all the components.
My first mistake was to assemble the entire equipment inside the tower (when it's a new motherboard I always test it on the table)

Now that I think about it, under normal conditions a 20-pin molex doesn't fit the other way around, I suspected the 24-pin one wouldn't, but I fitted the 20-pin one without forcing it into a board from an old Pentium II, I don't know if it was because the molex from that power supply was special and fit perfectly in both positions or because they used to be made differently, but I'll never forget that it fit the other way around without problems and it wouldn't start up, I went crazy until I noticed the little tab. A mystery about that old board...

Getting back to the mystery of now, I think I've interpreted your initial clue correctly... The fans weren't spinning because they weren't connected, right? ?

If that's not it, it could be that you didn't have the power cable plugged into the power supply, that the house wiring had gone bad, that you hadn't connected the power button to the board (derived from what espinete was saying), that you hadn't even put the power supply in (a major oversight xDDD)...

                                  Regards

The mistake was that I never installed the new motherboards in the tower, so I ripped them out with a flathead screwdriver making a bridge
                                    But this time I didn't ….
That's why I didn't notice that the power button was cracked :troll:

You shouldn't have to ask for anything... besides, if the controller isn't working and you need drivers, even if you put them on the CD, it wouldn't read them ?

I think you have something misconfigured in the Bios and that's why it's not installing, so it's not a driver problem.

Check the drives, the boot, the AHCI and if you have RAID enabled, UEFI/Legacy modes or something... if not, disconnect the drive and all the hard drives except the system one and install from a USB UEFI.

I highly recommend Rufus to make a USB with Windows 7 in UEFI mode.

You can also try with Windows 10 by downloading the latest version with the MediaCreationTool

PD: I think you must have connected the drive to the AMD controller instead of the brown controller that comes with it to add more SATA ports... I never use that one but I think it requires drivers. Check the manual just in case, even if it's a silly thing but given the precedents ;D
