Is the change worth it? MSI i7 for MacBook Air?
-
Hello, as you all know a few months ago I bought an MSI CX62 2QD which is composed of the following configuration:
- 15'6 Full HD IPS screen
- Processor: Intel Core i7 5700HQ
- 8GB of RAM
- Intel HD 5600 Graphics
- Nvidia GT940M 2GB
- 1HDD 1TB 7200rpm (option for M.2 expansion)
- Windows 10 Professional 64Bits
- Wifi
- Bluetooth
After much thought, and for mobility issues, I have thought about selling it, and going for a MacBook Air for issues of (battery from 2h approx. to 12h (talking about the 13").
The thing is that since I have the Hackintosh on the i7, the truth is that it performs very well and I have no complaints, and I have become quite accustomed to the operating system itself.
Its use would be for Photoshop, internet browsing, and little more to be honest, I have seen that it has the Intel i5 5250U 1'6Ghz Turbo to 2'7Ghz, an Intel Iris 6000, 128Gb of SSD (PCIe) and I think that for that use it would not be bad for me.
What do you think? That is, if I needed to do something stronger with the PC for that I have the i7 4770K.
I already know that even with much it will not offer the same power the i5 5250U as the i7 5700HQ, but I have realized that I prefer mobility and performance over brute power.
Thanks in advance.

It all depends on your needs, if as you mention in the second to last line you need mobility and autonomy I would go for the MacBook.
A few years ago I made a similar change for the same reason, a Lenovo Y560 for a 13' Macbook Pro (the PRO) and it was an excellent change. I left it with 8GB of RAM and to virtualize and do everything I needed for university.Greetings!
