PC configuration
-
Good morning, I am presenting my configuration so that you can try to help me make the best choice. The PC will be oriented towards gaming. The maximum budget would be around 1,000€.
I leave a link to a Google Drive table that I have created with the configuration, price and their links.

Processor Intel i5-6600K 3.5Ghz
Motherboard Asus B150 PRO Gaming/Aura
Ram Kingston HyperX Savage
CPU Cooler Noctua NH-U12S
Case\t
Power Supply Corsair VS550 550W
Graphics Gigabyte GV-N1060WF2OCI still need to make the choice of the case as I am quite lost with this... After that, anything else you would change... the motherboard is also quite chosen on the fly. I don't plan to OC it, at least for now.

I will respond with a couple of things that have been recommended to me.

I'm not sure if the motherboard will be better than the one I have in the configuration. I've been told that the one I have installed won't get the full performance out of the Ram.

Hello, welcome to the forum.
We have two options: focus it on "overclocking" (OC or increasing the micro's speed), or not.
For OC, you need an unlocked processor (K) and a motherboard with Z170 chipset; there are other options but I won't go into details as they are more delicate.
So for that 6600K, you have to get a Z170, or you won't take advantage of its potential (and extra cost).
Within the Z170, that MSI is the "poor cousin", I would get the G3 at minimum, and as a recommendation, the Mortar. Also, for qualities, I would avoid both Asus and GigaByte in motherboards.
On the other hand, there are the memories. Meted in harina, I would recommend not to put together anything below 2666 Mhz, simply because the difference with some of 2133 is noticeable.
I doubt that, along with the hard drives and the tower, it will cost less than 1150 €.That's as far as a configuration for OC.
If we are not going to touch voltages or multipliers, we have the i5 6500 or the 6600 (note, without the K) on a B150 (or an H170 if we feel like it), we save on putting together a good quality cooler, and we put some memories at 2133.
It's the only way to fit the budget. -
Indeed as @whoololon says you can approach it in two ways, with overclocking possibilities or without. If you don't have much idea I would rule it out directly.
On the other hand think if you really need 16GB of RAM, in my opinion unless you work with several virtual machines at once, with 8GB you have more than enough. With overclocking possibilities:
https://www.pccomponentes.com/configurador/163a6c587 -> 888€If no overclocking possibilities:
It is not necessary a K CPU nor the Z170 chipset. Neither such fast memories nor such a good heatsink, I would leave it like this:
https://www.pccomponentes.com/configurador/7dD51924D -> 795€Do not pay attention to the 26€ hard drive, it's because if I didn't put a hard drive I couldn't copy the link to the configuration.
Keep in mind that between configuration 1 and configuration 2 I don't think there will be a 5% difference in performance, now if in the future you have the intention to learn and OC it then that difference could go up to 15% or so.
Whatever you choose it will be a great PC anyway.

I would give up the OC and stretch a bit for a 1070: http://xtremmedia.com/?q=cconfig/view#A045786,A042967,A002949_op,A033063,A047524,A027134,A026839,A046462,A038907,A001299_op
Put Windows 10 64 bits on it, for now DX12 doesn't add anything but it's better to be prepared. More than one colleague has bought licenses for €10 on eBay and so far no one has complained.
