Well I saw the video of resvalon and as it seemed to me pure smoke for being a biased comparison I didn't give it more importance and didn't even pay attention but certainly Windows is not where they are running ZEN.

What I don't know is if there is a difference in performance of using Windows to using Linux to render with Blender.

Although if there is I wouldn't be the least bit surprised that they used it to their advantage since AMD has promised a 40% increase in IPC and with that you can't surpass in performance even a Haswell which is an architecture from three years ago... so it can hardly surpass that Broadwell.

To make matters worse that Intel is limited to 3Ghz and they have removed the turbo mode... I understand that to compare clock for clock with ZEN but honestly if they have also put in worse RAM or the configuration they have put it in dual channel instead of quadchannel it would already be time to shoot yourself in the foot with AMD.

And it tastes bad but it's what I think today seeing this kind of thing that reminds me of The Simpsons... let the marketers fix it :facepalm:

The Sinclair caught me very young, but for those who lived through that time, it can be quite interesting. And for something with such a small market, a hundred and a half euros is not a bad price.

I've been a Spectrum kid, and I have a soft spot for computers from that era, but computers are computers, so I'm not a fan of "consoling" them.

Man, the idea isn't bad, it even allows you to connect a keyboard and program in its BASIC. I've seen it more as a tribute than something that's going to blow up this Christmas.

I understand that, although the technology that made them work today would fit in one of those "smartwatches", their charm lay in the fact that, at that time, they were the best you could get (although I was and am an Amstrad fan :ugly: ); and outside of games, you had to program what you wanted yourself.
