Android audio player that allows you to resume playback?

Hello!
I am looking for a way to listen to podcasts in the car that are between 1 hour and almost 5 hours long. I have a device that connects to the standard radio and offers a USB, but it gets confused when the MP3 is longer than 99 minutes.
Another option is to use an MP3 through the line input, but of the two I have, one has a short battery life but if I turn it off and then on, it continues from where I left off (this is what I want), and the other has better sound quality and battery life, but once turned off/on, it goes back to the beginning of the last audio played.
Finally, and that's why I'm writing in this section, I can use my mobile phone through the Parrot I have installed (the Parrot itself has USB but the remote doesn't have a display, so it complicates certain things).
To the point
The problem I have with the mobile phone is that if I'm going to work listening to a podcast and I want to resume it when I come home in the afternoon, it is very likely (not always) that the player closes and I have to open the audio again and go to the minute where I stopped listening, and that in itself is a pain, but I don't have a good memory and I have to take a screenshot so I don't forget where I was.
Is there a way to make the audio player not close or is there one that even if you close it, later allows you to resume playback at the exact minute you were on?
Let's see if you know anything, because I only have the option left to change the standard radio to a Chinese one that matches the car's aesthetics and includes everything that the other devices together (hands-free, USB, etc...).
Regards!

I think that installing a basic player with playlist support, and preventing it from being configured as the default player (to avoid you messing up the playlist in use when you play another file), can solve the problem.
Another issue would be recommending one in particular :nerd:
I don't dare to do that anymore

Best regards!

Thanks Fassou!
Well it's curious, I've tried Aimp, Black Player and Neutron and they all have done what I want even after restarting the phone. I'll stick with the one that allows me to select just one folder as the audio source and updates the playlist automatically, and within that, the simplest one.
What you say is a good idea, not to use the same player as the one that is set by default.
I'll keep testing tomorrow.
