Raspberry Pi

I was going to comment on the Odroid alternative but I see that Cobito has already mentioned it, it really seems that it comes out more cost-effective than the Raspberry, no? Although I imagine that in terms of support, the Pi eats it.
ODROID-C2 is an alternative to Raspberry Pi 3, faster and with double the memory
It depends. The problem with ODROID is that it integrates the Mali 400 graphics chip that has been around since 2012 without Linux support. It works well on Android but if you want to use graphics acceleration on Linux, ODROIDs are a bad option. On the other hand, the Raspberry Pi's VC is starting to be functional in Mesa and work is still being done on it, so the board could end up being an option even for playing half-decent games.
For the rest of the hardware, the hardkernel option outperforms the raspberry.
PD: In case anyone considers it relevant, Raspberry Pi boards are assembled in the UK and I assume that ODROIDs are made in China. That is probably a decisive factor in the difference in performance/price ratio that both options have had from the beginning.

I will take advantage of picking one up here because I think the shipping is free. I will comment when I have it.

They have released a new Raspberry Pi Zero with Wifi and Bluetooth for supposedly $10. The chip for wireless connections is the same as the one used in Raspberry Pi 3, so the behavior in this aspect should be the same.
