Can you change the parts or buy a new laptop?

Hello, I have an ASUS X550ZA WH11 with
Processor: AMD A10-7400P Radeon R6, 10 Compute Cores 4C+6G 2.50 GHz
RAM: 8.00 GB
OS: 64-bit Windows 10
1TB hard drive

Well, I don't know much about laptops. I am an architecture student and I don't have a fixed residence, so I can't afford to have a desktop PC. This laptop was fine for me, but the difficulty has increased and the laptop has become insufficient in capacity. It gets very slow, the programs I use (AutoCAD, Sketchup, Revit, etc.) close by themselves. Well, you understand, I suppose.
I would like to know if the laptop I have is suitable for changing parts like the graphics card and the type of hard drive or if it can't and should buy another laptop that, at least, lets me work comfortably and without losing time.

@Rosangeles on laptops you can change the RAM and the hard drive. The only thing you'll notice an improvement is replacing the hard drive with an SSD. But if the programs close by themselves it may also need a format.

@Rosangeles Surely with these hot temperatures, a cooling base would not hurt you, to improve the performance of the equipment, keeping it cooler.

Thanks. Well, my laptop doesn't get hot, but when working on projects for more than one building or urban planning, it slows down too much and starts to suffer from fatal errors, bug splats, and the "not responding" in the programs I use are commonplace. I investigate to find a solution because, apparently, I need more performance.

@Rosangeles as they say above, with an ssd and more ram you can keep pushing a little more with that laptop. It's not that it's the best, but with those two things it improves a lot.
If not, open your wallet and buy a good laptop. One with a 7700hq and 16 gb of ram. The ssd is mandatory.

@Rosangeles It won't get hot enough to cook macaroni, but as Fassou points out, it looks like a textbook throttling.
If you don't have the budget for a new machine, take it to a very reliable service center and have it properly maintained.
While you're at it, have the HDD replaced with an SSD of at least 128 GB, and if the replaced HDD is in good health, put it in an external USB enclosure for extra storage.
The total cost of the operation will be much less and you'll significantly improve performance.
