Hello everyone and thank you for accepting me! ?

I will briefly tell you what I need to expedite my request:

The use that will be given to the PC:

This is the model of PC I need, a nimble computer for office work and browsing without slowdowns, for my father (a bit of a cheapskate... unfortunately ? ).

      Approximate desired price:

The lowest possible while meeting the minimum requirements to function correctly.

      Maximum price you can reach:

The maximum price should be the necessary one and meeting the required specifications that I refer to in terms of office work and agile browsing.

      Brief text of the query:

I tell you that I already have an Intel Basic PC prepared, I leave it here:

      http://amzn.eu/16WcOyo

And I ask you how you see it, because the Intel Celeron G3900 processor already integrates a graphics card, but I don't know if it will be enough for the computer and to view videos in 1080p from youtube without slowdowns as usually happens, in which case you would save money on buying the GeForce GT 710 2GB graphics card, apart from that I had doubts about the air cooler being a bit big, I don't know if it will affect the RAM, or do you think it's okay!?

I will wait for your opinion and also to get your help to achieve the maximum savings in a decent computer that meets the necessary requirements without complications.

Thank you very much for everything!

      Best regards!

You don't say the budget you have, and I'm very surprised that you don't consider any of the many basic laptop models that exist, some for under 300€ that will do the trick.

Anyway, take a look at this post, in your case discounting the dedicated graphics card they put in it. And at this other one.

In any case, remember that putting an SSD raises the price a little, but it will make it fly.

        Cheers! and Welcome

Hello Fassou thanks for helping me I want a prototype similar to this one around 300€ more or less: alt text

Hehe well I shouldn't, because a laptop wouldn't give the same performance with the same budget, and I suffered enough with that, I also don't want a makeshift solution that runs very slow, as long as it runs some office applications well, and enough smooth navigation, because as I said it's for my father so he won't use it for anything else or games or anything (like the ones mentioned in the posts), that much is true I have an SSD in my laptop and you can really tell the difference like the price of course..xd

I also wanted to comment that I'm a computer scientist although more on the administrative side I touch a lot of computers but not enough to be a dedicated technician, and that's why a little help from experienced people is always better, I had some doubts if you could answer them please about what I said earlier about the Intel Celeron G3900 processor if with the integrated graphics it would be enough, some heatsink compatible with the motherboard for the size issue so as not to interfere with the memories (I don't know if this one will work Enermax ETS-N30R-HE), would a case like the following be enough? Nox Thyra - Minitorre ATX
and if necessary the graphics card GeForce GT 710 2GB are you recommending it in terms of price quality for this budget?

Thank you very much to everyone and sorry for the trouble!
          Good night!

            @kreitos Greetings and welcome.

That configuration has too much cooling (the processor already comes with one), that 500 GB hard drive costs more than a 1 TB one and you can opt for an even cheaper tower.

Unfortunately, you'll have to resort to that dedicated one, since the integrated one, due to its model (HD 510) and with that amount of RAM, doesn't inspire much confidence in me.

That being said, there's no doubt that everything is thought out in bad faith for saving money, but in reality it's not very efficient.
We'll take time to start up, to be able to use the desktop and to perform any task that requires the hard drive. The reason (and I'm talking about Windows): the less RAM, the more virtual memory is needed, given that it's housed in the hard drive, it's going to be scratching, reading and writing practically all the time. On the other hand, I must emphasize the fact that today's browsers, with the exception of honorable mentions like Firefox, consume quite a lot of RAM.

It's like this, and fluidity costs money, whether it's by putting more RAM, a better processor or, as Fassou indicates, an SSD for the OS... or all together, what the hell. ?
(Keep in mind that we can already find them for €30 with 60 GB.)

Personally, I would consider installing a Linux distro specific for computers of these characteristics (Antix, Lubuntu or Manjaro, for example) and that will suit them much better than a Windows 8.1 or 10.

In any case, here I leave my option. (Indicates that they update the BIOS for that processor.)

Come on, blonde, it doesn't even reach 310 euros.! ?

@whoololon Thanks for all the help provided!

I have already updated the configuration by adding some parts that you recommended such as the processor and the SSD, I also opted for a RAM memory of 8 GB much more powerful than the previous ones and cheaper than I found in relation to its quality, I hope I have already found the key or is there still something missing, only remains to confirm if with this new configuration it will be enough for what is navigation & office software, or is it necessary to use an ssd, since the budget would go over 371€, although if it is worth it I will manage it.

I leave here the capture of the new team more in link:

I think it's a good deal, although the 240GB version of the Sandisk you put up usually goes for 74€ on Amazon every now and then.

                Cheers!

P.D.: You know how these things are, I just have to say it and it's gone again ?

P.D.2.: On ebay the Samsung 850 EVO 250GB for 79€

Remember that, although H110 motherboards are compatible with Kabylake, they need to have the BIOS updated or it won't recognize the
processor. Make sure to check this when placing your order.

Support for SSDs is not necessary, it comes with an adhesive pad to attach it wherever you find convenient, and that's enough.

For the rest, it's a matter of looking around in case you find a deal and can get the cheapest components.

Finally (and this is where I'm butting in where I'm not wanted) when you buy from Amazon, it's advisable (not essential) to check the box "Amazon.es" in the seller section; this way you manage the warranty with them and not with the company of the moment.
It may come out a bit more expensive, but some people prefer that and don't want any surprises later. ?

@Fassou @whoololon Thanks for everything really, you have helped me a lot, I feel bad for not writing before I was quite busy with work, I had a pending question about the processor cooling and that's why I couldn't answer, hehe better late than never!!

See you around! Take care! ?
