Good afternoon, I have a friend who is on a tight budget and is looking to build a very low-cost computer to play some games when he has some free time and to browse the internet, watch a movie, etc...
I'll give you the configuration we've made, adjusting as I mentioned before to his current economic situation:
-CASE NFORTEC ORION USB 3.0 (19,90€)
-POWER SUPPLY CORSAIR VS650W 80 PLUS WHITE (54,90€)- MOTHERBOARD ASUS PRIME A320 M-K (51,90€)
- PROCESSOR AMD RYZEN 5 1600 3.2 GHZ (105€)
- RAM MEMORY 2X8GB GSKILL RIPJAWS V RED DDR4 2400 CL15 (70€)
- HARD DRIVE SSD WD BLUE 3D NAND 500GB (60€)
- GRAPHICS CARD SHAPPIRE PULSE RADEON RX 580 8GB (179,90€)
TOTAL BUDGET: 541€
I'm in doubt about whether the processor I put above will be good enough for gaming at 1080P at about 60 frames and other light tasks, or if it would be better to go with the AMD Ryzen 3 2200G 3.5Ghz. The difference is barely 15-20€ but one is a 4-core and the other is a 6-core, but a little older.
If you could shed some light on this last doubt, I would appreciate it. Regards

Good afternoon,
In principle that graphic will work very well with that processor, the bottleneck percentage according to online calculator is less than 8%, which is a very good percentage for stability and performance.
In general it is a good budget for what your friend is looking for.Out of curiosity, where are you looking at the price of that NFORTEC case (€19.90)? I find it interesting at that price but I am finding it at almost double everywhere else.
Best regards!

Thanks Sylver, I found that case at Pc Components after looking around a lot. You know when there is a limited budget you have to search a lot. Best regards

Overall it's a good budget for what your friend is looking for.I see everything fine except for the RAM, and more in the Ryzen of 1st GEN, look for some 3000CL15 as a minimum, which will cost you 10-20€ more at most.
Best regards!

Hello Rul3S, are you saying that with those RAM memory characteristics you mentioned, it will better utilize the processor's potential?
-
Yes. And if you are going to pick up the equipment now, you can already see the 2600 at 125€. They are two small improvements for little money. I won't tell you about other micros because if you start with a little more of each, the price will skyrocket

I would get a good motherboard that I could mount an nxt gent x8 on and give it my all with confidence, even if I had to scrape together the GPU, which I could then replace with something more suitable and end up with a pretty good rig.

P.S.: The Crucial 3200s are being pushed to 3600 so the 3000s shouldn't disappoint.
Editing: Oops, I just saw that you've already got it.
