Hello how are you I have a desktop PC with a prime A320M-k card.... unfortunately I live in a city that is already humid, but a few days ago very heavy rains began, so my PC stopped turning on in the mornings, almost precisely at 12 noon it would turn on again, but a few days later it just wouldn't turn on at all, I first thought it was because of static, and I tried to drain it in any way, but nothing worked, afterwards I thought that maybe the energy from my current was not very stable so I connected it to a UPS and it turned on the first time, afterwards I turned it off at night and again in the morning it wouldn't turn on even with the UPS. The technician who sold me the PC was advising me and told me to pass the hair dryer at a certain distance without the PC cover, because maybe because of the humidity the card wouldn't turn on as a form of protection. This has worked quite well because after a while of giving it intermittent hot air the PC turns on normally, my question is if you, knowing the way I turn on the PC, know any method to prevent this from happening, or some better way to do it, or if you think it's another failure it has, I don't want to end up damaging my PC lol... I would greatly appreciate your opinion.

What if you try a dehumidifier in the room where you have the PC? I can't think of anything else... well yes, you could try first (more economical) with some Silica Gel bags inside the tower.

Edit: Another option a bit more aggressive would be to paint the motherboard with liquid electrical insulation like the one used to do extreme overclocking sessions with liquid nitrogen to avoid problems related to condensation.

+1, it is the most appropriate and prevents us from finding oxidation in any microsolder that ends up becoming something more serious.

Another option could be to keep the air circulating inside it constantly.

Get a fan, of a size that your tower supports, install it to take air from the inside (always in the rear or upper part), and connect it to an internal USB port; if instead of turning off the equipment completely, you leave it in suspension, the USBs will continue to be powered and it will cause the fan to avoid excess moisture inside.

Hi, I'm sorry, what do you mean in this part? ?

With a fan, you're talking about a PC fan, right? I have the processor fan and one that's on the back of the case, would that be a separate one from those? Sorry, I'm very, very new to this, thanks for your help! ?

How about you try using a dehumidifier in the room where you keep your PC?

So far the only remedies I've been able to do is put the white balls for humidity and put the tower on a piece of wood and put cardboard on the walls surrounding it, I don't know how effective a dehumidifier would be but I had thought about buying one ?

@jesmedgo19 Well, I would consider it (the dehumidifier) seriously, a PC not turning on the first time is not normal.

One capable of collecting 750 mL/day for 25 m2 would be advisable.
