      Hello everyone.

I'm thinking of buying a new PC, which is about time, after almost 10 years. It was then at PCComponentes, including assembly and testing of internal PC components.

Now I have the same idea, installing Windows 10 PRO 64 bits myself.

I read some comments that the testing does not include the BIOS update. Something I have never done, and that is a delicate operation.

Reading a little on the forums, I see that the steps I would have to perform, after receiving the PC, would be as follows:

0- Obtain the Windows 10 Pro 64 bits (May update 2020??). I see that there are pages that sell OEM License Key for Windows for 8-15 euros. Also for Office.

1- Check the BIOS version and update it to take full advantage of the potential if it were very outdated. This operation is the most delicate you can do and if the power goes out or you turn it off suddenly it won't turn on.

2- Download from the official Windows 10 page a program that downloads and saves Windows 10 to a USB drive and in a special way so that it boots automatically.

3- Plug in the USB and tell the BIOS to boot with the USB.

4- Follow the steps of the Windows installation: disk where to install it and keep going to the next.

There are manuals on the Internet: Download, prepare and install Windows 10.

5- When it starts, install all updates, restart.

6- Install the drivers. Chipset driver, Sound drivers, network, wifi, bluetooth and graphics driver from the official manufacturer's websites. Restart between drivers.

Is there any tool that detects the drivers that need to be updated?

7- Configure the SSDs. Any recommended guide?

8- Monitor calibration. Any recommended guide?

      9- Windows 10 optimization

I see this Link script (game booster): https://drive.google.com/file/d/15sL-Q0ZEsvKd7Wih-gbXJlP9jdPzzGnQ/view

REM Disable unnecessary services: sc config WSearch start= disabled

rem Add all firewall blocks for telemetry

rem Remove telemetry and data collection

          I don't understand the question.

Have you bought the computer yet, or are you planning to buy it?

If you haven't bought it yet, I would suggest that you let us comment on the configuration.

The BIOS update, depending on which platform we are talking about and what components make up the computer, may not even be necessary.

Just like the assembly, you can ask to update the BIOS. Normally they usually charge around €15, although there are stores where they do it for free.

Regarding everything you have put after... it's better to solve things as they come, that's what we are here for.

The thing about "cheap" Windows 10 keys... just try to buy them from a "reliable" site.

PCComponentes has taken a brutal dive since it opened a store in Madrid. I have the appreciation of a satisfied customer, but lately it has been gaining very bad press. A shame.

          ...me lo dicen las voces...

@whoololon Sí, todavía no lo he comprado.

            Muchas gracias.
