      Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a basic PC (email, office software, browsing, and occasionally some amateur photo editing), but one that has some margin so it lasts a few years with a certain solvency and growth capacity. The price range will be around 600€.

I have a hard drive for data, so a basic one for the system and the few applications it will have is fine with me. I also thought of using only the integrated graphics (I don't use it for gaming).

I've made this quick configuration. Tell me what you think, I'm pretty disconnected from the topic already ?

      AMD Ryzen 5 5600G 4.40GHz 279,90 €
      Asus PRIME B450M-A II 63,98 €
      HyperX Fury Black DDR4 3466Mhz PC4-27700 16GB CL17 98 €
      Corsair Force MP510 M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen3 x4 240GB SSD 58,32 €
Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-05 USB 3.0 with Window 45,96 €
      Corsair RMx Series RM550x 550W 80 Plus Gold Modular 99 €
      Total 645,16 €

Anything to cut the price is fine, but with components of a certain quality. I've always liked Asus motherboards, but I don't know how they are now. A good power supply is indispensable.

      Thanks in advance friends.

@lforos Well, I think the team you're thinking of is something more than "basic". Good processor, with a performance very similar to a Ryzen 5 3600 from what I read. The motherboard is fine, the brand thing is personal and maybe I'm more of MSI/Gigabyte but I don't rule out Asus although I always like to look for some more audio connections... although then I usually don't use them jajaja.

Anyway, in general I don't see anything wrong with it, the only doubt is if the memory is in a single module or two of 8GB. This is the only thing I would change to keep the dual channel.

        Regards!!

P.D: And with the graphics that come with that Ryzen you can play a lot more things than you imagine ?

Many thanks @_Neptunno_. Indeed, the memory is a 2x8Gb. I had thought about reducing something in the processor. The truth is that I have made the configuration on pccomp with what is "available" and the previous Ryzen 5 was already the 2600 (they do not have any 3xxx in stock), but I think I am interested in cutting the processor budget a bit, to go below the psychological barrier of 600.

          Thanks again...

I agree with Mr. @_Neptunno_, it is a more than decent configuration, and I would not rule out cutting back on the processor, even going to the trusted second-hand market, which always has some powerful offer and the processors today are quite relaxed.

On the other hand, by thoroughly searching for components in various places, you may be able to improve those prices you have seen. Surely you will manage to go below those psychological 600€.

            Best regards!

Hello, as for the motherboard, I have the MSI B450M MORTAR MAX (I have 2 PCs with that motherboard) and the truth is that it is quite complete. Take a look

You can look on Aliexpress for a Ryzen 5 2600x or 2600 for about 120€ or for a 3600 for about 180€, I would certainly go for the latter.
The bad thing is that you would already have to look for a gpu, but you can always use a simple pci that you have at home or buy the most basic one for about 35-45€. Certainly with that you save about 40-50€ and go below the 600€ barrier.

Regarding the M.2 SSD I think I saw the same model on Amazon for 42€

See if with that you can lower the price a bit.

P.D: Regarding the power supply this EVGA Modular looks good.

Many thanks to the three of you. Indeed, I'm sure that by looking around more stores I will be able to get the price down a bit.

I will look into the MSI and the EVGA to see what their prices are like as well. I trust your judgment.

I have thought about the 3600 or even something smaller, but it's not easy to find stock. I will also look for second-hand ones.

Best regards and thanks to all.
