DIY-APE Motherboards with connectors on the back.

There were already prototypes or initiatives before from Gigabyte (Project Stealth) and Msi (Project Zero), but it seems that Asus has made its DIY-APE standard an open standard.
At this CES MSI presented a prototype, and there are reports that brands like Lian Li, Cooler Master, Cougar, Phanteks, Jonsbo, and Sama are working on cases that support DIY-APE boards.

Is this coming down the pipeline? Is there one more out there already in a store? I don't know, but I think I want the next one like this.

This Maxxun in Mini-Dtx format looks like it's already for sale and everything.

Well, to be honest...
It's true that I changed the serial cables of my F.A corsair for some that weren't "tangled" (I mean, the typical ones with loose threads) because they're easier to manage (in the back). In the front and in sight, they don't bother me too much, quite the opposite.
I mean, I have no intention of switching to that system at any point to have fewer components to choose from:
Case, M.B and GPU.
If they want to improve, let them rotate all the connectors 90 degrees and I'll see fewer cables without having to change the case.
It's worth mentioning that in the auxiliary industry, they already sell 90-degree and 180-degree elbows for GPUs.

They have already done it, just look at the photos, only that strange brand has them turned 180º.

Regarding cable management, the braided cables usually have a good piece without mesh behind the connector, enough to turn it well closed and disappear immediately towards the back, and the back is sucked in, and I use a Corsair 110R, nothing special.

I prefer to have everything at hand comfortably when removing the back panel, instead of having to stick my hands inside the case.

The thing about better cable management so that they are not in the middle is not a reason I see because that is already possible, this is missing, it is not very important, but if they do this I assure you that after a while it will seem absurd and a mess to have the connectors in front.

Of course I don't see it as a bad idea, anything that advances to make it easier to place the cables and organize them well, or to easily access them to connect them is welcome. Like everything, it will also depend on the Tower/Case or the need of each user, but I see it with good eyes

Don't exaggerate, the cables don't take up that much space, besides if you want they can all be distributed at the back and only a small stub sticks out of the power supply, but it would give better options to put the graphics card underneath that's for sure.
And if not, you put it vertically with an extender and then you can do whatever you want with it, like if you want to put fans on all four sides.

The bad thing is that there are people who want the power supply sucking from inside, and people who want it sucking from outside, and if the connectors only fit on one side, then the fan can only go one way.

For me this is like on the motherboard, it's mostly a convenience, and you also need less cable excess in the power supply (they won't deduct it from the price).

You have to look carefully, when ATX was designed the towers had just the right width (17 15 cm or less) there wasn't even a margin at the back for cables and everything went to the front, now the one that has the least width for all possible mounts and things like this have not been done before because it hasn't coincided.

Be careful with the angled connectors, some even take up more space than the original straight one. In towers where the power supply is well centered, this power supply could have them straight and on the side you choose.

By the way, beware of the computer press that are very sloppy in their writing (most media actually), they said the other day that the cable savings these inventions can give also has the advantage of producing less pressure loss in the cable. there must be at least a few meters long not jjj or you have a multimeter that gives readings with three decimal places. Things are very bad for the "press" you have to fill lines anyway.
