laptop, laptop or chromebook?

Good morning, I need to buy a laptop, I'm looking and looking and I can't decide because there are a lot of things to consider; I look for it to have a minimum of 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of memory. I have seen a lot and I can't decide between a laptop or a Chromebook, I don't understand the difference. The use will be a bit of everything, although I need it to have a decent camera for meetings and remote interviews and the ones I see have a front camera of 1MP, 1280*720P and in many cases they don't even say it, I don't know if it's very little or if it's good, I also work sometimes with photographs and I need the screen to have good resolution. I don't understand much and if someone can advise me a little I would appreciate it very much.

A laptop is already known. A laptop is the same but said in English.

Chromebook means it is a laptop that comes with the Google Operating System focused on using its tools and applications in a web environment, that is to say that it will be impossible to install a Windows on it and probably not a Linux either, and they are usually cheaper equipment.

Every day there are more people who are already covered with a slightly powerful tablet, consider if this could be your case.

An important argument for purchase is the issue of graphics, but for light use as described, it is irrelevant.

Focus on your screen size needs and budget, and do not go below mid-range in processor, that is, an Intel i5 or an AMD Ryzen 5 and be careful not to end up buying the remains of old generations, as there is always some overly shrewd seller placing relics.

A "normal" laptop will be around a thousand euros and will have a 15-16" screen and above and especially below the price will increase, and if it doesn't go up in price it's because it reduces its performance in a way that surely doesn't interest you.
