Email account setup problems on Samsung Galaxy S SCL
-
Hello, I have a problem with one of these terminals, specifically from the Movistar operator. We configured the mobile with the GMAIL email account, to have all the services (internet and others) it does not let us add email accounts, including the one we use for Android, as well as others like hotmail. At all times it shows the message "Cannot connect to the server" Does anyone know anything about why this might be happening? Thanks in advance -
But does the phone create the account correctly? That is, when you go to settings > accounts and synchronization, do they all appear?
I understand that the "main account" (the one you set up when you first turn it on) doesn't work either, right?
Well, if all the account data is correct, the only thing missing is the gateway to the internet. I will make sure that in settings > wireless settings > mobile networks > APN you have selected your operator.
But come on, it should sync well over WiFi.Best regards

Do you have internet activated and such?
Have you tried turning it off and on again?

I have had no problems setting up gmail on android 2.3.. I don't know what could be causing yours.
Regards!

I imagine you have made an additional cost call and the data package will be activated on Movistar, there is usually a few hours margin to activate the service
