Hello, I have a pair of Creative 5.1 speakers that have been around for a while, and recently the center speaker has been making a kind of buzzing noise similar to a mosquito. It doesn't matter how loud or soft the volume is, the sound is always the same. What do you think the problem could be?

It may be a parasitic noise, from some kind of contact or sound card failure, try connecting it to another sound source (home cinema, TV, music system etc...) to rule out causes.
There have been cases where electrical noises were heard coming from the power supply or other components.

        Best regards.

hello. try going into settings and perform the speaker test (the one that plays the speakers one by one to label them) if only the center one sounds bad try changing the order of the front connections to the rear etc if it continues to do so the most likely thing is that you need a new speaker. I have the inspire a500 and they can be disassembled (you would need to look for a speaker with similar characteristics)

It could also be some kind of fracture or loose part, like a screw, piece of metal or the speaker membrane itself that has fractured over the years and got caught on a sharp edge and causes the noise while the speaker is playing due to vibration. (if the sound is constant and seems "electrical" then this theory would be ruled out, it would then be something of what Nemo says) Saludos

well, after making changes to the jack, I realized that the sound continues even if I change it and I also realized that others do it too, but it's only heard if you put your ear to the speaker, although as I have already told you, the center one is heard more and it's a bit annoying, well, then, ruling out that it's from the sound card, which is also a year old, we know that the problem comes directly from the speakers, which are at least 5 or 6 years old, when all the speakers sound, the only thing that comes to mind is that it could be from the potentiometer, what do you think?

Let's not press the issue, it's the wise who rectify...

That's almost certainly the amplifier, if not it will be some membrane that's broken, I don't think it has more.

You are completely right, what I am trying to say is that he should correct himself and not become an orthographic taliban. I am not going to correct others' mistakes as if I were a language teacher because when I first came here I wrote just as badly, over time I learned certain rules. So as you say, to keep on pointing out mistakes to everyone who makes orthographic errors is not appropriate and I say this not because I am a stickler but because it is something that happens regularly.

I don't go around correcting others' mistakes as if I were a language teacher because when I first came here I wrote just as badly, over time I learned certain rules. So as you yourself say, go ahead and click on everyone who makes spelling mistakes, it's not appropriate and I say this not because I'm a stickler but because it's a common occurrence.

I know this all too well Bm4n, and what you have done is what I myself would do without a doubt, but I have spoken out solely because of the already known tension between the two of you, (perhaps more on his part than yours), from previous moments, you understand me.
I am not here to defend or attack, just to try to prevent sparks from flying which already happens on occasion and there's no need for confrontations to break out, something I know perfectly well is not your intention by a long shot, I emphasize your good faith and intentions at all times, I reiterate, it's all about prevention rather than cure.

                        Best regards :sisi:

I think K is ignoring you, if you like to read in an MSM style it is your problem (not mine) and at one time I received certain criticisms for orthographic issues. And if you do not like it, read the forum rules that are there for a reason (although it seems that you are annoyed that it is me who occasionally reminds you) What is the date of the post? 2009 :nono: how time passes and people change (and the way they write)

The bad thing is that not everyone is that active... but you can't force anyone to post, there are many people who come in, read and leave. Not posting 7 times a day doesn't make you a better forum member.
But I repeat, the ideal thing would be for all users to contribute something. Or at least close the topics by telling how it was solved or whatever... because in the end they leave you with curiosity.

It seems from the comments of some that here veteran status is some kind of degree.
To clarify the issue, I have been here longer than the date of my current last nick reflects
Personally, I think that once a certain problem is posed, knowing how it was solved is a good thing for anyone who wants to know something more than where they have their belly button

Personally, I think that once a certain problem is posed, knowing how it was solved is a good thing for anyone who wants to know more than just where their belly button is

let's see, it seems like we're all a bit touchy.
I don't think either Bm4n or Nemo have said anything out of line. Veteran status is a rank, here and anywhere else, but here no one is more than anyone else just because their username says 'HL Veteran'.
As Nemo said, the ideal thing is for everyone to contribute things and once the problem is solved, to say so, but we can't force anyone to do it. Without looking, there will be hundreds, or thousands of posts that have never been 'closed' and I'm sure that among all those, many of them will be by veterans, by moderators and surely by some administrator.
That being said, please, let's stick to the topic of the post if we want to make any additional contributions, okay?
