      Good afternoon!
      I am overclocking the pc but I can't get the ram to 1066, besides I don't know why everest marks them as 800.

      Components:
      Asus P5k-e wifi ap motherboard
      Quad core Q6600
      RAM 2*2GB Kingston Extreme 1066 Model: KHX8500AD2/2G

      I have set the following in the bios with the latest update (1305):
      CPU ratio -> 9
      FSB Frequency-> 333
      PCIE Frequency -> 100
      DRAM Frequeny -> DDR2->1066Mhz
      DRAM Command Rate -> 2N
      DRAM Timing Control -> 5 5 5 15
      DRAM Voltage -> 2.0 V

      Everything else is on Auto.

      If you need more information, please ask.

      Thank you very much.

      Regards

        To begin, check the memory with the cpu-z program, to clear up any doubts first.

        Ha, and welcome to the forum.

        Salu2.

                the memories are running at 1066mhz, not 800. what worries me a little are those 1.37v that you have put into the micro to reach 3ghz, is it not excessive? try lowering the voltage to see how much it really needs, because I find it strange that it asks for so much

                  the voltage of the micro is set to Auto.

                  It is true that this configuration is not very stable, since sometimes I get the blue screen. I have also tried with 8 and at 400 to raise it to 3.2 but the same thing happens to me.

                  Do you recommend me a more stable configuration?

                  thank you very much

                  regards

                    greetings

                    Well yes, I hadn't realized that it was linked.

                    Well now it's clear about the ram that in the end is as it should be.

                    wuwuh do you check the temperature under maximum load when you test a certain overclock?

                      what do you mean? to check the temperature when I put it to work at maximum? For example in the rendering of a 3d scene?

                      regards

                        It is an option, but you can also check it with Everest while you are running a stress test, such as Super Pi, for example.

                        Best regards
