The Pacific is not bad, the thing is that after watching Blood Brothers it tastes like very little and there is not as much chemistry between the actors as in BoB.
In fact, the books on which The Pacific is based (My Helmet My Bed and Diary of a Marine, written by two of the real protagonists of the series) are very good. Almost better than Ambrose's Band of Brothers.
By the way, it seems that HBO has confirmed that there will be a third miniseries. This time it seems that it will deal with the daylight bombing of the 8th US Air Force against Germany.
