Hello, I am new to this and I don't know how it works. Well, my problem is as follows. A few days ago I recorded a disc with some movies for my daughters to watch on the portable DVD player I have in the car. The thing is that when we put the disc in, the DVD player didn't read it, but when I take out and put in discs that were recorded previously, it reads them without any problems.
At first I thought that the disc was a DVD-R and that's why it wasn't being read, but the same thing happens if I put in a DVD+R. The thing is also that if I put these discs in the PC, it reads them without any problems, but if I put them in the home DVD player, I get the message "Unknown disc".
What is this due to?, What is the problem?, If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it.
By the way, the movies are recorded in AVI format
Regards

What you say is strange, try to record the movies with another program

First of all, welcome to the forum.
That particular problem can be caused by several reasons, from the recording mode or the brand of the disc (it seems unbelievable but it's true), to a defect in the recorder.
With respect to the latter, it may be that it is announcing its end (it will record but only she will be able to read them), or that it works with too much temperature: the heat causes the lens to deform and become "nearsighted".If the problem has only happened recently, and previously it has not happened to you, try changing the brand of the discs, you could even get a regrabable one, so that if it fails you can reuse it without problems.
Try to make the recording stages in the first moments after turning on the computer, so we rule out overheating of the unit, and at a maximum speed of 2X.
If after this the problems persist, perhaps you should start thinking about replacing the recorder. -
I remember that if I recorded the movies at full speed with Copy To DVD, my home DVD player would read it because it's a Woxter that can handle everything, it opens the file paths and such as if it were a portable TDT or a PC. However, those same discs were not read by any other DVD player that was not a PC or my Woxter. For others, I had to create the DVD menu with its format and such. It may be because of that.

But if he says that before it was read xD

Hello:
I would check with which codecs the movies are ripped, because even if they are.avi, they do not necessarily have a format that can be played by the reader.
Best regards

Buenas:
I would look at what codecs the movies are ripped with, because even if they are.avi they don't have to be in a format that can be played by the player.

That's exactly what I was saying...
