Which graphics card should I buy?

My PC configuration:

-i5 2500K 3.30GHz
-Cooler Master V8
-P67 Pro3 B3
-AMD Sapphire HD 6870 1GB GDDR5 900MHz
-G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 1600MHz 2x4GB CL9
-NOX620W
-Asus Xonar Dg Pci 5.1
-1TB Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB SATA3
-Zalman Z11 Plus

Considering next Friday (Black Friday).
**I got this from PCCOMPONENTES.

So I want to get a powerful graphics card BUT, I have several doubts:

1. My PSU

will be able to support

MSI GeForce GTX 970 Twin Frozr V OC 4GB GDDR5?

will be able to power the graphics card???

_(By the way… One summer, I was quietly playing BF3 and suddenly a..., **"BLAF!" - My power supply exploded, Corsair GS600 600W". Oh my god, I got such a shock! xD. The power supply didn't last even a year! ¬¬ And the one I have now (NOX620W), it's already been 1 year and a half and everything is perfect!).

2. My motherboard only has one PCIE 2.0 slot and not PCIE 3.0. So my question is: How much power would I lose? It's clear that I can install a PCIE 3.0 graphics card in a PCIE 2.0 slot but, HOW MUCH POWER would I have available when using the graphics card on my motherboard?

And yes! I hear more offers under 300€ and a bit. AMD or NVIDIA - I don't care. I want POWER!

The theory is that with a good 500W power supply, you can mount a GTX970, but as in your case you put a bit of OC, and you have additional cards, I would opt for a good 700-720W power supply. For example, an Enermax revolution X't 730W that you have for €99.90 or an Antec True Power TP750C for €82.60 Salu2!

And the 550 one too, but if you're going to high-end graphics, don't neglect the power supply, get this one instead:

if you spend more on a graphics card, don't be cheap with the power supply,
the graphics card is very good, it has a small flaw, not very serious
the memory chips on the back of the PCB have no ventilation and that could cause problems in the medium or long term

I put the Corsair on it because there isn't much else to choose from at pccomponentes, they aren't doing well with the catalog, I think it's very scarce, even more so in decent "low-watt" sources. And I put that in quotes because they aren't low at all for moving a 970.

The CS is a good source but it has some components that don't match, I would almost say that you should look at something on Amazon or Xtremmedia, you might find better prices there too for the graphics card, although, keep an eye on pccomponentes' black friday.

EVGA is one of the last to jump on the bandwagon but they are making good sources (they are mainly a high-end assembler), even economical ones. Enermax is a manufacturer and has pretty cheap sources that, while not doing justice to what that 970 deserves, wouldn't be the worst sin; and what I would recommend you is a Seasonic (manufacturer and of high quality), if you don't mind it not being modular the S12II are very, very good for their price. With the 520W one you can perfectly move your equipment with OC.

Silverstone also makes very decent things in the low range. However, if you find a good deal, it's worth leaving 70 or 80 euros for a decent Enermax or Seasonic, or a SuperFlower that is also making a name for itself lately, they are pretty good sources and the non-modular ones are pretty economical. Even with the 450W one you can move your equipment.

I wouldn't be so sure about the G1. Does it have any improvements besides the clocks compared to the Giga OC?

Apart from the absence of the backplate and worse heat dissipation than the G1? Let's add that the G1 is more oriented towards future OC (higher TDP limit) and that it has greater connectivity.
That said, personally, and for 10 miserable euros, I prefer the Gigabyte one. But to each their own...

Look, I've changed my plans and I'm thinking of getting the Sapphire R9 280X Vapor-X Tri-X STD 3GB (Could you recommend a BETTER card for that price, more or less... NVIDIA or AMD? And if there's nothing better for that price, that's fine. But the price of the card should not exceed 300€).

Will you notice a BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN this graphics card and this one?

So the R9 280X Vapor-X Tri-X STD, is said to be HIGH-END. And for that same reason, I want to buy a GOOD power supply, that can support that graphics card without problems and the rest of my PC components.

The Corsair CS550M 550W 80 Plus Gold Modular could really support WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS (as I said before), this one or Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X UEFI 4GB GDDR5 11227-03-40G?
Anyway, I need a QUALITY power supply.

I vote for buying a GTX970 as the only option, although as they are still expensive now, I think it's better to wait for them to drop below 300€, probably by the end of February, unless there is a surprising mega-offer.

I :nono: would not invest in the R9 2x0 range from AMD, although if it can be got at a knockdown price, it can be a fix if there is a great need to have something already.

Yo voto por comprar una GTX970 como la única opción, aunque como ahora están todavía caras, creo que es mejor esperar a que bajen de 300€, seguramente a finales de Febrero, salvo mega-oferta sorprendente.

Yo no :nono: invertiría en la gama R9 2x0 de AMD, aunque si se consigue a precio de derribo, puede ser un apaño si hay mucha necesidad de tener algo ya.

Mira…, si yo NO TUVIESE QUE CAMBIAR la fuente de alimentación…, SIN DUDAR me pillaría la MSI GeForce GTX 970 Twin Frozr V OC 4GB GDDR5.

Entonces, al "parar", "observar" y "pensar bien", me pillé éstos componentes:

1. Sapphire R9 280X Vapor-X Tri-X STD 3GB GDDR5 [Lo compré por 219€. Antes costaba [B]269€] (Se supone que es de GAMA ALTA. Sí o sí! Y la marca Sapphire es una de las mejores. En fin…).

2. G502 [66€]

3. Cooler Master G750M 750W 80+ Bronce [75€]

Y ahora lo más interesante de ésta situación…!

En total son: 360€! Que éste…, es el precio de la MSI GTX 970!

Joder con nVidia! Con sus malditos precios de mie*da! Y encima la compañía, me da mucha pero mucha rabia Pfff… Yo flipo... ¬¬.
