Advertising on HardLimit, with or without?

Currently, advertising is displayed on the forum for visitors (logged-out users). From my perspective, this advertising is not excessively annoying or intrusive and is within acceptable limits.

I can understand that there may be a large number of users who do not find it acceptable to generate revenue at the expense of their work. Therefore, if removing the advertising will boost participation and content contribution, removing it would be an interesting option.

In this poll, there are only two options: keep the advertising or remove it (there is no middle ground). If it is decided to keep it, I commit not to misuse it by obstructing the visibility of the content or the navigation of the site (pop-ups and such garbage).

In the event that it is chosen to maintain the advertising, the current revenue will be used to purchase a piece of hardware or software and raffled among the users.

The system I have devised would require participation on the front page to be able to participate in the raffle. It would be necessary to have published, at least one entry on the front page during the raffle period to be able to participate.

With this system, the more you participate on the front page, the more chances you would have to win. Participation in the forum and the user's seniority and trajectory would also be taken into account to increase the probability of winning.

With the current visits, I estimate that there could be approximately a couple of raffles per year of something with a value of about 70€ each.

Due to the current low revenue, the entirety of the advertising revenue would be used for raffles. If the case arises that the revenue is enough to do at least one raffle per month of at least 50€, a percentage could be retained to cover the associated expenses of maintaining HardLimit. If the amount earned is enough to do at least one raffle per week of at least 50€ on average, I reserve the right to obtain benefits from the advertising revenue. In no case would an amount less than 50% of the advertising revenue be allocated to raffles.

This poll will be open until Friday, July 1st. If the result is favorable to keeping the advertising, during the weekend of July 2nd, I will publish all the details about the raffles.

NOTE: I would not participate in the raffles.
