I have the exact same problem, at that time a friend got the Scyte Ninja v1, I got the Noctua NHU12.
Some time later when he renewed his PC the Scyte ninja was left in a drawer as we did not have support for the new sockets, despite using the same system as the new versions (read in forums) in customer service they told us that nanai, that neither for free nor paying would they send them to us.
I will never buy anything from Scythe again.
