Problem with the connection

Wenas tengo un portatil Toshiba M30 que trae el modem (Toshiba software modem AMR) pues bien el modem se instala bien pero en el momento que voy a crear una conexion telefonica la opcion de conexion mediante modem esta en gris osea deshabilitada :S y nose porque puede ser, el modem no tiene ninguna interrogacion y no tiene ningun conflicto, he pensado que kizas sea problema de com, utiliza el com4 pero despues voy a administrador de dispositivos y en Puertos (com & lpt) no aparece para configurarlo, puede ser por eso? bueno pues agrege manualmente un puerto com y lo configure con los recursos que ponia que no habia conflictos pero me da el error 10 :S y nada no funciona el modem, haber si alguien sabe algo.
