Analizando en diferentes paginas las caracteristicas del portatil Asus A6VA he visto que en algunas descripciones el procesador le llaman Pentium M Sonoma . Parece ser que Sonoma es una arquitectura de Centrino, pero no estoy seguro. ¿Son todos los Centrino Sonoma? ¿ O tienen alguna caracteristica especial? ¿ Que rendimiento da?

Sonoma es la evolucion del Centrino.
Centrino monta procesadores Banias mientras que sonoma monta procesadores Dothan, con el doble de caché y más bus. Además el centrino se basa en el chipset Intel 855 y el Sonoma en el 915 (juraria).Fuera de eso, hoy en dia los portatiles con procesador Dothan son los más rapidos.

Por lo tanto las prestaciones del Sonoma en cuanto a bateria y rendimiento son iguales o superiores, ¿verdad?
En realidad no se que procesador monta el Asus A6VA pues en algunos sitios pone Centrino a secas y en otros Sonoma. Quizás a los Sonoma les llamen tambien Centrino.

Pros:

I definitely do not regret purchasing this notebook. It is a high quality notebook that meets my specifications and has a number of extra features which are useful to have in university life. It is easy and comfortable to use with a pleasant screen to look at and is light enough to carry around the house and campus.
I personally don't mind the three hour battery life, as I'm not yet foolish enough to play demanding games with my laptop running on battery life, and I doubt I'll be spending more than three hours away from a power socket in a city like London.
I just need to do some more finger exercise, and the various buttons and keys on this notebook would become friendly to me as well.

Yo tengo un portatil con Dothan Sonoma. Trae 2MB de caché L2, así que puedes hacerte una idea de como corre esto, jeje.
En cuanto a batería… tengo una de 6 celdas y con el uso normal, he aguantado hasta casi 4 horas. El procesador cambia de velocidad cuando la necesita (aunque he encontrado un programa para poner la velocidad que yo quiero, así cuando estoy enchufado la CPU la pongo a tope).
