Asus portable problem
-
hello, I have an asus gxl50, every time I try to use programs like tracktor studio or picassa the computer turns off and if I try to watch a video full screen the same thing happens, I thought it was the processor that was overheating and that's why it turned off, I bought a cooling pad but it still happens. It has been happening since I formatted it a long time ago.
Does anyone know why it happens?????? -
Hello and welcome.
Well it looks like the graphics card is either poorly cooled or damaged. Or it could even be a driver problem.
Best regards

As Silver says, it might be the graphics drivers, especially since you mention that you formatted the disk. Try looking for the latest drivers and install them, and good luck: little laughs:
!AMD Power!

Indeed, it is more likely to be the drivers than the graphics card itself, now that I think about the formatting.
If you don't know the model of your graphics card, you can search on Google for the model of your laptop and then look for the VGA drivers for that model. Good luck.
Best regards, and AMD Power!

I would say it's a driver problem, or that inside your laptop the heat sink is clogged with fluff. No matter how much cooling base you put on it if the air can't pass...
Download a program called speedfan, and you can tell us the temperatures it shows, or how high they go before it turns off. I think it's the easiest way to know if it's because of temperature or drivers.
