Could I have problems if I mix different RAM memories in separate channels?

Well, the thing is that I have a P55 UD5 motherboard with an I7 860, and the ram is kingston CL8 1600 (only with XMP activated on the motherboard, otherwise they go down to 1333 CL9)

The thing is that I wanted to take advantage of the low prices to buy the G.skill 2x4 of 1600mhz at CL9 at 1.5 because I can't find the ones of my same model anymore.

They have the same frequency but different latencies, I don't know if I put them paired (module 1 and 3 the kingstons) and in modules 2 and 4 the G.skill. Do you think it will have some kind of instability?

        Hello

Instability should not exist, but you should make sure that the memories all have exactly the same speed.
The best thing is that you buy a kit of 4x4Gb (although I understand that your purpose is to get 16Gb) and forget about problems. Also in the second-hand market you can get some money for those Kingston.

I'm really happy with 8Gb, but I wanted to know if I could use the Kingstons. Thank you very much for your help.

EDIT: When you refer to speed, do you mean frequency or latency?

I mean frequency, latency is practically impossible to be the same in a new kit as in those kingstons, and in my opinion that does not imply problems as long as each pair is in the corresponding pair of slots.
If you go well with 8Gb you have it even easier: you buy a 2x4Gb kit like for example this, and sell those kingstons second hand, you get a pretty cheap upgrade.
