      Hello.

I live in a rented apartment and a few weeks ago I saw the neighbor across the way messing with the light box that is in each apartment. The first thing I thought was: the bastard is tapping the light. A few days later, he moved out of the apartment, he no longer lives there.

This afternoon, I heard him coming up the stairs and I started looking through the peephole. I saw that he was going to the attic and every time the stairwell light went out, he would come down to my apartment and turn on the light; then he would go back up. After 10 minutes, he left the building.

When he was gone, I went up to look and I didn't see anything strange, but I did notice one thing. When the stairwell light comes on, the light in a room of his old apartment that faces the street comes on, and when the stairwell light goes off the light in that room goes off. Clearly he has tapped the stairwell light, but it seems that there is only power going to his old apartment when the stairwell light is on...

What is the point of that? And even more disturbing, why does he come back after several weeks of moving out to mess with the light box of the apartment above?

I checked my meter and it is normal. I don't understand what he is doing. Any ideas?

Honestly, as long as they don't use electricity to play reggaeton... who cares?! :troll:

It seems like a low-cost deterrent system, to make it look like there is someone in the house.

Maybe it's the landlord's idea, to prevent squatters.

          Best regards!

That's exactly what I thought so they wouldn't steal it xD and now that I think about it more, it makes sense. I went to the other apartments to connect to different rooms :ugly:

That guy is really clever! Since you're here, you could join in on the topic too, it's a good way to alert when someone passes by the landing, in a bad way it could be a warning signal like radio-patio xDD

No, it was the tenant who did it and he's not the owner of the flat. The room where the light turns on doesn't exactly face the street. It faces the inside of a courtyard area. That room faces a terrace of the flat and on that terrace he has the shutter down. So, from outside you can't see the light on because the shutter covers it.

That tenant, he was a junkie. I think he even abused his girlfriend because every now and then you could hear them arguing and the girl would say: "because you're so bad?!?! Why are you hitting me?!?!" The next night you could hear them fucking… Those people were very strange and with this business of flickering the light it's the last straw.

I don't know if I should tell the real estate agency

If there is electricity consumption, an eviction cannot be carried out quickly, I believe. It could be a way to annoy the landlord, whom they wouldn't pay but couldn't evict because they were using electricity, so it was assumed they lived there. As long as there was no court case, they couldn't enter.

My mother had this happen to her by a tenant who left a tap half-open and a low-energy light bulb on. As the electricity and water were contracted by my mother, she couldn't stop paying for them, because if she cut them off, the tenant could sue her, even though they didn't pay for the water, electricity, or rent. They only paid the deposit for the month, and it took fifteen months until they won the court case; there were times when they weren't in the flat, but they did this so that the police wouldn't come in.

Very interesting this information provided by Mr. kynes :sisi:

About the kinki, if you have storage rooms upstairs, maybe a Playmobil Fort is being set up up there, with lights and all :troll:

@__cslbcn__: For your peace of mind, if you have the typical "doorman" neighbor, mention it to her when you run into her and I assure you that the "Living Forces" will be informed ;D

Upstairs is the attic neighbor, there is no storage room or anything. But that attic neighbor I think is a real estate company that I think is finished because their mailbox is always full of letters. But I can't understand what they are doing manipulating the box upstairs if they no longer live there and their flat was downstairs!!

And what are they doing coming by car at 11 at night, going up to the attic, touching the box and leaving again… what is going on?!

The only thing I can understand is that they want to annoy the owner of the block, but if in the flats where they have cut the electricity no one lives... it is illogical.

The block where I live I think we are all renting.

Although now that you mention cultivation… some nights it sounds like an immense river is running through the water pipes. Maybe I did plant something on the floor… Let me see if I can figure it out

Man, if you have planted something "special" the pipes shouldn't ring, since it's sprayed and vaporizers are used XD, but the light would definitely be noticeable on the meter.

really interesting topic, having a neighbor with a great love for wild flora http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9U7jxZ9fpCg/TuZkJLIO4sI/AAAAAAAAA_Y/lzWyMJlJCco/s1600/cannabis.jpg regarding water, they use a drip system, nothing to do with sprinklers or sprayers :wall: about light …. i refresh your memory on those "nonsense" things they didn't teach in school Photosynthesis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia in short, to achieve the highest productivity, they use a drip system (no soil is used) and about light Lighting - Grow lamps for marijuana sucks that's a bad thing ;D
P.D and no, i don't do that, in case anyone has any doubts, it's just that one is a sociable person and knows a lot of people :ugly: including woodworkers and drunks ??
P.D 2 i would opt to buy some pliers with good insulation and cut off the supply (the cables one by one and as close as possible to the entrance of the tube (so that it can't be spliced ) mainly because that people who think that what's theirs is theirs and what's everyone else's is theirs too don't deserve any compassion and if not, call the woodworkers and tell them that you think they have an illegal plantation (that they pull out the corcuera law and that's it ). the water is paid for by the company and it's rare that they know how to bypass a meter, but the electricity is paid for by all the neighbors (you included)

Give him what he deserves. Call the electric company and send an inspector to dismantle the "stab". If the guy wants to stab, let him stab it again and so on. From personal experience, I can confirm that both the stabber and the stabbed will get tired :troll:. Hopefully, the stabber will get tired first.
