With a Pentium 1 at 133 I played this game ;D and then with a Pentium 3 at 450 :ugly:

I bought a second-hand VooDoo 2 3DFX with 8 Megas that allowed me to play at 800*600 the game :llorar: with a speed and graphics that were amazing jajaja. Great game. I did it several times. I will download it again when it is complete, to remember the golden eras of video games. I liked the intelligence of the police, who tried to attack me from behind or by surprise on occasion. An excellent game.

My God! When Half Life 2 had just come out (late 2004) they were already talking about this mod and I was following its development very closely since I frequented a website called Halfrules (now defunct) where one of its moderators (Mendasp) was working on the mod and giving information and screenshots firsthand.

The website closed a few years ago and I stopped following everything related to the world of HL. Almost 8 years have passed since then… and now it comes out, just so you know the hard work that the port has.

As soon as I have a moment I install it and play it; it has to be the bomb.

Well, the Source SKD 2007 kit only downloads when you start the game from Steam. So you shouldn't have many problems getting it to work, but that's from Steam, as many people ask in forums how to run the game.

I have all the HL games bought on Steam, I got them for Christmas last year, hehe. Although I have a physical copy of HL1 from a long time ago, I bought it when the Jump franchise existed xDDD

One more thing, in the Spanish subtitles there are problems with the accents and the "ñ", and I think there are a couple of sites where you download a file and it fixes it.

In the Library you click on "All games" and there you select "tools"

I have the first HL, I have the original, a friend lent it to me and in the end what usually happens is that it stays at his house, what a great game, without a doubt, it goes to my list of favorite games along with: Quake, R to C Wolfenstein, Undiying, FEAR,…...

Well, I actually finished it a few weeks ago, but I'll tell you my impression: It's a great game. It's not news that HL1 is a great game, and that the graphics in HL2 are amazing, not to mention the physics (the Source engine is a delight, for sure)... so that's not news either.

But anyway, you put both things together and add the selfless work of some fans who made it happen, and you end up with an excellent game. And I say game, because I don't consider it a mod, not at all.

It's true that the Xen levels are still missing, and it's a shame that it's incomplete (according to what I've read, they'll finish it by the end of this year). But really, if you haven't played it, you should because the spirit of the first HL is imprinted to the max, its recreation and its construction are super well taken care of, it's like going back to the Black Mesa labs that many of us visited in the late 90s

As a downside, the flashlight doesn't need to be recharged... but well, we'll forgive that.

You're missing out on another great game!! Come on, dare to play HL2 with the Cinematic Mod ;D It's also good for episode 1 and 2.
There are always some packs of the saga at a good price on Steam at Christmas, Easter and summer…and some other specific moments. I don't remember how much they cost me but I spent little. At Christmas I remember HL2 was for less than 2 €.

Cobito, indeed that push in Linux is one more excuse to encourage you to play Half Life

Wow, what a cool mod, so I'll take advantage of some offer of some pack of 2 and the eps, it's just that the last time valve did an offer what I got was portal 2 I'd like to play it on Linux but the team provided fortress and gave me errors a 3D library I fear it still has a lot ahead steam and the graphics with their native drivers.

It's $13 for the pack, and separately $7 for hl, $6 for hl 2, and $5 for the episodes. I think it's expensive, portal came out free and portal 2 came out for 2 or 3€
