TV headphones without muting the main sound

Hello!

I have a TV that I recently got. It turns out that I'm not very sure how to manage to put on some headphones that can be heard at the same time as the TV for a person who is very deaf.

The rear connections are these:

If I connect some directly to the headphone jack, obviously, they turn off the sound of the TV.

I see that they also have a digital audio output, I don't know if with one of those the matter would already be fixed (although I know that this type of headphones are very expensive) it would be good to have other options. What type of headphones and/or adapters could serve me for this?

well according to that photo (and after going to the neighbor's house to see the enlarged image from there :troll: ;-)) I'm afraid you don't have many options, because the rest of the connectors are all input, both the HDMI, the SCART and the component one. So the 2 3 only options that come to mind are:

1. Look for digital headphones with SPDIF connection
2. Look for an A/D converter from SPDIF to minijack/jack
3. buy a duplicator of 1 minijack male to 2 female ;D and plug in headphones and external speakers

Unless things have changed, the euroconector should output an analog audio and video signal equal to what is being seen on television, even if what is being displayed is what is coming in through the euroconector. So the idea would be to plug in some headphones with a potentiometer to adjust the volume.

The only problem is that in recent years, with everything becoming digital, they are brushing aside all possible analog signals. But well, I don't think they have gotten rid of this.

That set is missing precisely an RCA -> headphone jack adapter. Also if the TV has a single euroconnector (I assume for a dvd or a pay TV receiver), you would have to find a way to connect both things at the same time, which means tinkering a bit.

Always. That's how, for example, analog Canal + was decoded automatically without having to turn anything on or change the input or output of anything. You just plugged in the C+ and the decoder received the encoded signal sending it decoded.

I think not :mudo: if it is as I think it is (male and female) when I put it in "out" he will hear the TV and when I put it in "in" he will hear the DVD (for example)

This type of adapters are usually used to connect portable players (walkman, discman, ipod, etc.) to HIFI equipment and also to connect computers to 5.1 equipment.

If the sound coming from the device previously connected by euroconnector is not going to be output through headphones, I suppose that with the adapter you have put (scar to rca) along with a multiplier with a euroconnector switch, it will be enough.

the only flaw it has (which happens to me on my LG TV, which I have to do this trick) is that it is only good for watching/listening to TV channels.
If you connect a movie via DVD, or USB (which the TV plays movies through the USB port) the sound does not come out through the euroconnector.

Yes.
I swear that through DVD you can't hear it (I think I tried it in its day, although I already have it disconnected) now I only use the USB and what I play from the USB I can't hear.

Thank you very much to all of you for responding, really. Well, I have tried with euroconector replacing the one I have (I have a TDT receiver); I have put said connector with audio outputs like the one that cobito passed from ebay to some wireless ones that I had before and nothing...

I am considering the possibility that if I had the opportunity I would get some wireless ones with a Digital input to put them through that Output that the TV has directly... But I see that besides being expensive, they are not very easy to find...

I will continue trying different combinations to see if I reach a good port with the issue.

It is rare that it does not work because although the SCAR is not used much anymore, it is still the means of communication between the TV and standard definition recording devices and the fact that it comes out what is seen is important for the functioning of this equipment.

And don't you have a 2.1 or 2.0 sound system nearby that you're not using? You get a splitter that costs next to nothing, and you plug in your headphones on one side and the sound from the 2.1 or 2.0 (or even a music system, with a mini-jack to mini-jack auxiliary cable) on the other, and you plug the splitter directly into the TV's audio output, solving the problem of the sound being too low. It's not the most orthodox solution, but it definitely works and at a very low cost. Moreover, you will probably even gain sound power by connecting it to a music system...
