Looking for a professional-grade access point
-
Hello!
I am going to present you a problem that I have with a client, specifically with their Wifi connection.
They have a normal ADSL connection from Telefónica, 10Mbps, and a typical Zyxel router. They usually connect several laptops (at least 4), several mobile phones (6 or more) and some iPads (4 or so) via wifi. They also have a Netgear repeater installed, which I am not sure if it goes crazy because of the router or if it is not very good either.
The thing is that as soon as several devices connect, the others start having problems connecting. The wired network never fails at any time and the DHCP server was initially the one on the router itself, but I have changed it to the server with Windows 2003 Server and I still have the same problems,
Therefore, I am looking for a good access point to disable the router's wifi and have said access point manage it. At the same time, I will take the opportunity to be able to place it in an area that allows me to have wifi coverage in the necessary areas and be able to do without the repeater. For this reason, I need it to be powerful, as it has to give coverage to the lower floor and to the office next door (this case should not be a problem because the signal from the repeater reaches and it is not in that office.
What can you recommend me? It is more important that it is good than not economical, since the economical solutions have failed.
Thank you!

TRENDnet TEW-455APBO - Wireless PoE Access Point for Outdoor
It's a bit crude, it's designed more for connecting buildings to each other, but we've also been asked for it to cover warehouses, or car manufacturing plants.
If you have a floor plan, send it to me privately and maybe I can recommend something simpler.

Thanks Kynes, I knew I could count on you, hehe. Let's see if this afternoon I can make a simple plan and send it to you so you can get an idea, but given the precedents, I prefer to have an excess rather than a lack.

I had already forgotten about this topic, and that's what happens when things go well and don't cause problems, you end up forgetting about them, hehe. In the end, thanks to Kynes' advice, I put the link bug that he posted earlier, and believe me, the change is brutal and it's clear that it's a professional solution. It gives me wifi coverage to an entire warehouse with its two offices and another room on the ground floor and without problems. For this, however, you have to make some small configuration tweaks. It sounds like flattery, but a 10 to Mr. Kynes and another to Trendnet, who have taken a headache off my hands. -

Well, in the end thanks to Kynes' advice I have put the link bug that he put before, and believe me, the change is brutal and it is noticeable that it is a professional solution. It had passed me by too… I'm glad it's not giving you problems.

Could you comment on how much it costs?
