Tablet Packard Bell
-
I have a coworker who has a Packard Bell tablet, the Lyberty tab model. When he turns it on, it gets stuck on the "Android" logo and doesn't progress further. He told me about it and I tried to boot it in "recovery" mode by pressing the power and volume buttons. It seems to enter, the message "booting recovery etc…" appears, the android with the mechanical parts on his belly appears and then the droid with a yellow "!" sign appears, and it doesn't progress from there.
No menu or anything like that appears...
Any ideas? -
hello. does it have a warranty?
test it by connecting it to a PC.
regards -
I suppose it has a warranty, it was a company gift, (there is no store seal or anything), and for the warranty you have to go through some processes and he told me before doing anything if he could take a look at it.
I connected it to a laptop with XP, it asks for the drivers, I downloaded them from the Packard page and after installing them Windows says it can't start the device.
In contrast, I have a Sony tablet and I connect it in all ways, by usb, wifi with Airdroid, etc... through Windows 7 and 8.
Thanks... -
It looks like it's a hard-brick since you can't get into recovery... I'm not too familiar with that tablet, but if it has ADB mode, you can fix it by re-flashing an original rom with some windows utility, so you don't have to get into recovery, which seems to be corrupt. Were you trying to root the tablet or something like that? -
I don't think he would do anything to log in as root, he has no idea what that is, he was surprised when I tried to log in to the recovery, he didn't even know that existed.
The problem will be finding a room, I know he has an Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, and as an OS, android 3.0 (Honeycomb). -
Exact model number?

I'm not sure if I'm wrong, but on your website only this model Liberty Tab G100G appears. The tablet "itself" doesn't say anything.
Thank you very much for your interest deeiivid.
Regards!!!
I read that it is also known by its European version Acer Iconia Tab A500. -
SOLVED!, I already have the tablet working, I downloaded the firmware from Acer, I uploaded it to a microsd card and I updated the system, at first the android loading came out but the "¡!" sign came out again, I restarted the tablet and the letters android appeared and from there it didn't come out, but I left it on and after a few minutes it started to update by itself, and in the end it started up. OLEEEEEE!!!
Thanks to everyone!!!

Hello. I have the same problem. Could you tell me where you downloaded that firmware and the steps you followed to recover the Tablet?
Thank you very much in advance
