Where is the occupied space on the Xperia?
-
Hello troops, a colleague asked me if I knew why his Xperia P says it has 16GB and the numbers don't add up. In the breakdown he will have about 4GB occupied and 2 free. I don't have a clue about Android :ffu:
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Normally these mobiles divide the storage between the "phone memory space" and the "application storage", in mine it divides 10GB for one and 6GB for another. Between both you should have those 16GB minus the space that the entire OS and bootloader occupy, which should be about 13GB free that you will use with the apps and multimedia. Remember that in the applications menu you can make the biggest ones save in the application storage so you don't run out of space in the other.
Basically this comes because before the phone had an internal memory and an SD, and now it is usually all internal but at the system level it continues to make a division.
Welcome to android

Normally depending on capacity but generally if they are 16 take 8 4 for applications and own updates and 4 for so and updates of the same, I in my motorola razr is what it does.
