Tomshardware, article with history about Overclock and micros.

Hello:
Tomshardware has put out a brief article about some of the best CPUs for OC in history. Some of you will surely have fond memories.
14 Of The Most Legendary Overclocking-Friendly CPUs - What Makes A CPU Overclocking Legend?
In my case, I started with OC with the 486 :ugly: and I have fond memories of the Intel E2180 that I still have, it cost me about 50€ and with OC it outperformed a micro like the E8500 that cost about 4 times more; and of course my beloved Q6600 that is still my main micro and that performs like a titan despite having years on its back.
The AMD XP were great and I remember fondly an AMD 939 3200+ and then the 38002 which with OC approached the 48002 ;D What a time. I still have a whole AMD 939 PC at home and another Pentium D ;D I don't know if I should donate them, but it pains me :llorar:
I also remember the Pentium 2 at 300. I think I remember that due to a break in stock, Intel renamed Pentium to 450 as if they were going to 300 ;D and if you knew, you changed the pin on the motherboard and OC completely stable at 50%. The Duron from AMD were cheap micros with a nice OC. Anyway, I sound like the grandfather... it's been many years with PCs :eoh:

I like this type of reviews
If I am in HL it is thanks to a guide that was about how to unlock all kinds of cores of the Athlon XP (which by the way, I have printed and saved somewhere) with the silver paint.
Later I dared with a P2 to 300MHz that I put to 450 MHz in a completely stable way.
My last OC has been the PC#1 of the firm that has been overclocked since the day of its purchase almost 7 years ago (my God, how long a PC lasts now...).

what memories, according to what I have read that has come to my mind is my first micro pentium III 900mhz… that one really overclocked well! ;D ah buddy, and I also had two e6600 in their time. I sold one of them a long time ago on h2m, and I have the other one saved like gold. it does 3.8ghz at 1.4v totally stable with a gigabyte 965p-ds4 motherboard -
well, I've practically had them all, you see, age shows, haha
the only one that wasn't the opteron, but all of them passed through my hands, regards

My P3 450slot1@650, or the p2 233@350 and the cely 1300@1733. What a marvel of micros. And the worst my e8400 that doesn't even work with my motherboard. And I have no idea, and I also don't have time to investigate, as it's the main equipment.
Of the rest, I have several of those micros, so I'll see if I can prepare a package to "cede" them in exchange for others

Well, I think the best I've seen were the i3 clarkdale 2.8@4.5GHz and up to 5GHz that came out, that's why the following generations have been locked XD -

PCs last the same as before … what lasts much less is the work and the salary, which is what makes it seem like everything lasts longer...

Yeah... :troll: I still have that lame clark lol, never mind

Mine still gives it its all, and yours because of laziness I didn't call intel but it's slow but it works, you hear.
