Hello, I was thinking of buying an i5 4670K but talking to a friend has made me doubt.
According to him, the A10 5800k is better than the i5 for gaming, but I told him that if I put a good graphics card in it, the setup is better than his processor (and I can afford to buy a dedicated GPU), and he said that the problems with the i5s is that they don't work very well with GPUs because I don't know what, and he keeps giving me small hints with binary codes... I have no idea xD

So, is the i5 with a dedicated GPU better or an A10 5800k? (especially for gaming)

Tell him to stop with things he thinks he has seen and show you from more than one serious hardware page.

About which processor is better, the i5 should be better, but it costs twice as much as the A10, which should be equivalent to an i3. The i5 does more instructions per clock cycle, but all of this depends on your economy.

As for which processor is better, the i5 should be better, but it costs double the A10, which should be equivalent to an i3. The i5 does more instructions per clock cycle, but it all depends on your budget.

          +1

An i5 is above, your friend will come from an early Core duo and after trying the 5800K he will have said: OMG, I have a jet plane! But that, as we all know, is not objective ?

Basically he defends AMD like his girlfriend xD. But since he told me that the A10 is better for gaming because they are made for that I got interested xP. But I will get the i5, thanks for your answers ?

Chorras no tio, it's my first PC that I buy with my money and I don't want to buy just anything, and the jerk of my friend made me doubt xD. I can already see that in all aspects it beats the A10 5800K, almost certainly I'll get the i5, and if not I'll get this one it will be the i7 xD. But according to him there are problems with the binary codes that are transmitted from the GPU to the Intel CPU, and that with AMD this doesn't happen, and that for many frames you have with Intel it will give me blue screens etc... He's making it all up, right? jajaja

Look, I'm from AMD-ATI and you can see that I have an i5 and a radeon, I buy what gives me more for less
if it has to be Intel then that's it and it's not a company that I like,
look at my signature and you'll see and I'm tired of building computers and testing them, the A10 is a good micro and comes with a good integrated graphics and you build a decent computer with it, but it's performance nothing like the i5

but you know that there are many smart people in the world and the same thing is that they don't want your computer to be better than theirs

                          regards

For performance I already had an idea that the i5 would be better, but with so many objections that my friend was putting forward xD.
Anyway, I got the i5 and that's it.

Another question (sorry xD) in the store they made me a budget that they said would be better, of course saying the whole thing about the "K" giving me problems (if you've read my other post you'll see it), and they propose an i5 4570, what's the difference with the i54670 (without K) apart from the frequency?
