      Hello everyone,

I've been planning a renovation for several months, and initially I thought I would go to the LGA2011 platform; but given the excellent results that my new SLI with the "old" i7 920 is giving; for now the renovation plan ends here, unless IB-E is the world wonder, which it doesn't seem to be.

That said, it has been several months; but I believe the final result is well worth it.

I'll tell you the initial configuration:

      • Coolermaster Cosmos S
      • Corsair TX 850
      • 1xZotac GTX 580 Amp! + 1x MSI GTX 580 OC [SLI]
      • ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 + Core i7 920 D0@4GHz + Corsair H70 + 3x2GB GSkill PI
      • 1920x1200 - 1x DELL U2412M
      • Logitech G15
      • Razer Mamba + Steelseries 5L
      • 1xSSD Crucial M4 128 + 2xHDD 500GB
      • Logitech G35

      The final configuration is:

      • Coolermaster Cosmos 2
      • Coolermaster Silent Pro Gold 1000W
      • 2x ZOTAC GTX 780 [SLI]
      • ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 + Core i7 920 D0@4GHz + Corsair H70 + 3x4GB GSkill Ripjaws - The memory hasn't arrived yet
      • 5760x1200 Nvidia Surround - 3x DELL U2412M
      • Logitech G15 + G13
      • Roccat Kone XTD + Razer Ironclad
      • 1xSSD Crucial M4 128 + 2xHDD 500GB + 1x HDD 2TB
      • Steelseries 7H Fnatic Edition
      • Auxiliary support table for the new case (it may seem like a hassle but it's not XD)

      I'll put some photos:

      BEFORE:

      AFTER:

And a video of BF3 running on this new configuration:

      Best regards

Are they 3 DELL of 24 inches? I would have gone for 3 of 27, I already see the 24 ones as small… :ugly:

Good configuration anyway, and seriously think about moving to a different platform, because that i7, despite being damp, gets pretty hot ?

            Hello,

3 of 27" would be 7680x1440 resolution. I can't afford the HW needed to run that, we'll leave the Titan 4Way setups for my friend ELP ?

Regarding the micro, I was decided to change now when the IB-E come out; but the tests I've been able to do have left me a bit disappointed. With SB-E there is not, not even close, the difference I was expecting.

Anyway I keep testing and I don't rule out anything.

            Regards

              Congratulations to the team….........!!

Good update, as a staunch follower of Surround, when I see 3 monitors together I go crazy........:ugly:

              I've had those 7680 x 1440, and with 3 Titans you move it well.............xD. Note the sarcasm.....:troll:

Now and after a few busy months in terms of hardware, I have 3 x Dell S2740L 27", and "only", 2 Titans, and they move it with plenty to spare....

At first I was afraid that the 1080 for a 27 would be few pixels, but the truth is that they look really good, and at 27". There are games where you don't need AA, and others where you do, but with the Titans there's no problem in adding AA..

Let's see if I can post some photos this weekend in this same thread if iPEN doesn't mind, by the way Welcome...... ?

              See you later....

You made a good team, let's see if Jotole gets excited so we can at least see good teams, let's see if AMD's graphics come out and the 780s come down so I can get one, and how about AMD too, I hope some competition starts because lately it seems like they are sharing the cake, one comes out 6 months earlier and the other 6 months later so instead of competing what they do is sell one each.

                  regards

                    Thanks....!!

                    So here are some pictures.......

That's my current setup, it broke, a U2711, and I couldn't find a way to fix it. So I sold the other two and got the Dell S2740L 27"

These monitors have a big drawback, and that is that for those who don't like the brightness, they shouldn't even look at them....xD. They have a lot of brightness, they are a mirror....

In my case I knew that, but since I have them in a basement, and I always play in the dark, they are perfect. I really like how they look. The resolution although coming from 1440p, I thought it would set me back, it seemed fair to me.

I have to say that although the dot size is higher than on a 24", or a 27" 1440p, in most games you don't notice any jagged edges, and in those that do, by activating FXAA, or if you have a lot of SSAA 2x, it's more than enough.

Otherwise, the design is very good, sober and elegant. The response time is perfect, I don't notice any lag.

A small analysis, in case anyone is interested............. ;).

                    Best regards....

Team pass that you have Jotole.

It's a shame about the vertical resolution of the screens, perhaps for gaming it's less noticeable, but for conventional use of the computer the dot size of a 27 to 1080p seems gigantic to me. I suppose this will be about taste, like everything else.

In my case I already had one of the monitors, so the decision was clear. For now I have no complaints, I am happy with the resolution and the aspect ratio (48:10), I don't miss more diagonal.

                        Best regards

You have a great team setup Jotole.

It's a shame about the vertical resolution of the screens, maybe it's less noticeable for gaming, but for conventional computer use the dot size of a 27 at 1080p seems huge to me. I guess this will be a matter of taste, like everything.

                          Regards

                          Many thanks iPEN…!!

Well I've had both and indeed for daily use, work and other tasks, for a single monitor, I would go for 1440. But for gaming, and having 3 monitors, 1080 on 27 works very well.... Not to mention the power needed to run that 1440 surround, almost double that of 1080p.

Your resolution is perhaps the most balanced, I went from a Dell 23" surround to the U2711. And it's the two extremes, from small to huge........

                          Regards.

Yes, for the distance I have, 24" seems ideal to me, but the truth is that your table is bigger and maybe your viewing distance will be greater... For me, of course, there is not even an inch more here:

I saw that you asked about a 3way SLi bridge and if it can be bought, although the motherboard and the separation between Pcie do influence, ultimately it could be done with the usual ones by joining 2, that is, from first to second, one bridge and from second to third another bridge, this in the free connector of the second.
                              here are bridges.

3 Way SLI Bridge | eBay
Amazon.com: Gigabyte Nvidia 3-Way SLI Bridge Connector: Computers & Accessories

those have to take into account the motherboard, the normal thing should be that the motherboard already had it.

                              regards

iPEN very good configuration with those Gtx 780 and that Nvidia Surround with Dell monitors brutal.
I am saving to buy 3 new 24" monitors in 6 months. The reason:
I have the central one at 120Hz and the side ones at 60Hz and you can see the difference in color from the central monitor to the side ones.
My dilemma is whether to get the 3 at 120Hz or 60Hz. I have the feeling that 3D is being left out but the fluidity of 120Hz is beastly. They speak well of the BenQ XL2420T model. What do you recommend?
For now everything runs well with a Titan but if they go down in price I will do a Sli.
It's a joy to play at that resolution! Since I have it I don't want to go back to 1 monitor.
