Tablet for playing

Christmas is coming and Santa Consumerism is knocking on the door. My 10-year-old nephew is following in his uncle's footsteps and likes to play games, so my sister and I will buy him a tablet, the GameBoy of today.

I hardly have any experience with tablets, but I imagine it goes like mobile phones: the cheap one is slow and the good one is expensive. Since the goal is to play, I don't think a €99 tablet will fulfill its purpose well, although I also don't want a €600 iPad.

Can you recommend a tablet that is good for playing and around €200-€250?

I suppose with a Nexus 7 you will have more than enough to play with. And you won't be short of support.

I agree with the colleague. The Nexus 7 has a suitable size to carry it around and has enough power to run any game smoothly.

In terms of quality/price it has no rival. If you want more inches you can look at the Samsung tab or even the Nexus 10. Although the latter, despite having an incredible screen, is somewhat outdated in terms of performance, but the imminent launch of the new 2013 version is planned for approx. €349.
