      Hello,

      Try restoring the system to a previous point, when you still had Adobe Acrobat Pro installed.

      If that doesn't fix anything, make sure to delete all traces of the program from the control panel and by opening the system registry.

      Best regards

        Thank you very much for your response. I have done the first step, I have restored the system but I have not been able to get Adobe Acrobat Pro to work

        Once I have deleted the program, could you tell me in which folder it is located? I mean once I have used the search with the word regerit. Before messing it up I prefer to be sure about it since a while ago I had a bad experience touching what I shouldn't, although I am talking about a different topic in computer science. As I said I am not very expert in the subject and that's why I am asking.

        Best regards.

          Well, to be honest, I'm not very sure, but off the top of my head I have two important Adobe entries in the registry:

          HKEY_CURRENT_USER->Software->Adobe

          HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE->Adobe

          Within each branch there are various entries that belong to various Adobe programs, try to select only those related to the one you want to remove. Saludos

            Well, I followed the instructions and now I think I have it completely uninstalled, but I'm wondering if I should also uninstall Adobe Reader since some say it's the same program. I also have several other Adobe programs installed like Adobe Air, Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection, Adobe Flash Player, etc., etc., which I suppose I shouldn't touch at all. Is that right?

            And finally, if you could provide me with a reliable, free, and virus-free link to install Adobe Acrobat. Thanks again.

            Best regards

              Adobe Reader = Free PDF viewer

              Adobe Acrobat = Paid PDF generator / viewer / editor

              If what you are asking for is a link to download the second, it is clear that you have chosen the wrong forum :ffu:

                Many thanks Fassou, Adobe Acrobat and almost all the programs I have installed were taken care of by a colleague. I was unaware that Acrobat was a paid program.

                Salut

                  I installed Adobe Reader correctly a couple of days ago, but when I want to send a PDF document by email, previously scanned with a small program called Paper Stacks, I can't load it as a document or attachment in any way. Please, what am I doing wrong or what do I need to do? Saludos

                    To attach a file in an email client, it doesn't matter what type of file it is, because the procedure is the same.

                    In most cases, they even allow you to drag the file with the mouse from Windows Explorer itself to the email you are drafting.

                    Salu2!

                    PD: If you still don't understand, use the Help of the email client you use, that's what it's for.

                      I may not have explained myself well. The problem is that when I attach the PDF file, in that same file it indicates This type of file cannot be attached. It's a scanned file, it's nothing special, it's a document.

                      The help that you refer to must be this:

                      Attach files or photos

                      1. Click Insert and choose the method you prefer.

                        • The Files as attachments option allows the recipient to easily save small files on their desktop.

                        • Use Embedded pictures if you want the images and text to appear together, like in a newsletter.

                        • Share from OneDrive sends a link only to the files you select in OneDrive. It's an excellent option for photo albums and large files.

                      2. Find and select the file or photo. To insert multiple files, hold down the Ctrl key while selecting them.

                      3. Click Open.

                      For more information, see Using file attachments in Outlook.com.

                        If you have problems, try compressing it first, or use another email client, such as Mozilla Thunderbird.
