The demogroup Mercury has created a spectacular demo whose compiled size is only 64 kb. Everything is included in that file, even the textures. For the moment it is only available for Windows. You can download it from here.
Here I leave you a video:

These demos are awesome, but they usually need some insane hardware to run them  Fortunately, thanks to the videos, we can now enjoy them halfway
I still remember when they came on the PCMANIA CDs :alone: Saludos!

Beautiful indeed, but can anyone explain how they do it with only 64 kb?
Could I do this with my 64 KB Amstrad? :ugly:

I'm not sure if you're asking this ironically or not, but just in case:
I don't know how they do it, but as Fassou said, you need a good machine to run that. Specifically, this demo only works with nVidia graphics cards right now because the Ati drivers don't have a GLSL mode available that's needed. On the other hand, using a GTX 780 is recommended as a minimum.
You might have been able to load the program into memory on your Amstrad, but it doesn't have the hardware to run the program. Also, the textures that are shown have to exist and the way they "exist" (according to what I read in a similar demo a few years ago) is by generating them through a certain algorithm, so when you run that algorithm and "create" all the necessary resources, the memory size of the program skyrockets.
Beautiful indeed, but can someone explain to me how they do it with only 64 kb? :llorar:

I was joking man ;D
The truth is that it is a beauty, it has reminded me on occasions of the type of photography you do of time lapses. Very beautiful and well done, it has also reminded me of the film Origin in the buildings, which may or may not be liked, but at least it is original, and I love it when the girl starts to design the city.
Amazing.
