Hello everyone.
I have a problem and I really don't know how to solve it.
The issue is that lately when playing the game tomb raider 2013, the computer freezes and a repetitive sound comes from the speakers, and the only solution is to do a reset.
I take very good care of the computer, every six months I change the thermal paste on both the CPU and the graphics GPU, it doesn't have a speck of dust inside, the temperatures are adequate, I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my computer.
But suddenly this happens, I can be playing for hours and have no problems or otherwise after fifteen minutes it freezes and starts making noise.
When I'm playing, I turn up the speed of the graphics fans and at full speed it doesn't go above 75 degrees, I've also checked the memory and everything is perfect, the game is the original and I played it for a long time before without any problems.
But now I don't know what could be happening, I've updated the nvidia drivers, but it's still the same.
If anyone could help me I would be very grateful.
Regards.
The computer is the one in my signature. -
You could run a test on the micro, another on the GPU, and the disk boot test at least where you have the game and the System.
If everything comes out OK, try making a system image and reinstalling, to see if it gets resolved.

Add a Memtest, since we're at it. ;D -
There is no way, I give up.
I have passed CPU, GPU and memos tests, everything perfect, I think it is about the same game, today I have been 20 minutes without problems and plasss, frozen and repetitive noise, I am looking everywhere, but everyone asks the same thing, but none knows the answer for sure.
Some say patches, others that it is the graphics others the memories,,, incredible, simply incredible, I have reinstalled the OS, Win7 Ultimate,,,, same….:wall: I leave it, I pass of getting annoyed for a game, thank you very much for your help. -
For me, Tomb Raider was perfect with a 6850, but the latest Assassins has crashed a few times with the 760.

Man, when something like that happens to me I usually keep going, if only out of morbid curiosity.
Have you ever finished that game before on the same machine? -
No no I haven't gone through it yet because of the freezes:wall::wall:
But I don't think it's the game anymore, now it sometimes does the same thing when I browse, I'm working with Word, something strange is,, I have to investigate more. -
Well friends, it's already solved.
After having tried everything, everything and everything, in the end it was not a problem with my equipment, it's a problem with the Windows7 operating system, I downloaded this KB2575077 update, and for the moment it has been working all night and I have been playing for 4 hours on Tom Raider and let's knock on wood, but it works perfectly, let's see if it continues the same.
Thank you very much for your help.
