Users who post both in the forum and on the homepage can participate in a raffle that will be held periodically. Each participation will cost one point. To participate, it is necessary to register for the raffle.

How to get points

The integer number of points earned will be taken based on the number of words in the content. In the following examples, we assume a value of 0.1 points for every 15 words:
Example 1: If the content has 300 words, you get 2 points
Example 2: If the content has 315 words, you get 2.1 points
Example 3: If the content has 329 words, you get 2.1 points.

During the point count in the moments before a raffle, the average of the reputation points of all participants is taken, which will give the average reputation.

If the user has a reputation below the average, their points earned by participating are multiplied by the average reputation. If the user has a reputation above the average, their points are multiplied by their reputation.

When a raffle occurs, the points earned by the winner are reset (return to 0). As a consolation prize, those who did not win will keep the integer number of 25% of the points earned by publications multiplied by 10 and then dividing the result by 10, which will be added to what they can get for the next raffle.
Example 1: Non-winning user had 12 points. Keeps 3.
Example 2: Non-winning user had 19.2 points. Keeps 4.8.
Example 3: Non-winning user had 25.9 points. Keeps 6.4.
Example 4: Non-winning user had 0.9 points: Keeps 0.2.

On the contrary, the forum reputation points are kept in all cases.

Once we have the total points resulting from the points earned by participating and reputation points, these are automatically exchanged for participations (one for each point total). Each participation is a number that will be compared with the result of the ONCE "Daily Coupon" raffle (hereinafter "ONCE raffle") of the day indicated in the HardLimit raffle announcement.

Users with participations will automatically and without asking receive a block of numbers (they cannot accumulate from one call to another), in a random position that will be published a few days before the raffle. Of the prize-winning numbers, only the digits necessary to cover all blocks will be taken.

Example

We have a total of 2 users participating.

User 1 has earned 5 points from forum participation and has 150 reputation points. In total, they get 5·150=750 participations.

User 2 has earned 10 points from forum participation and has 260 reputation points. In total, they get 10·260=2600 participations.

Two blocks of numbers will be established randomly with four digits and the first four digits (starting with the units) of the ONCE raffle result will be taken. Assuming User 2 gets the first block and User 1 gets the second block, their numbers would be:
User 2 [0000-2599]
User 1 [2600-3349]

Assuming that the winning number of the ONCE raffle on the predetermined day is 10270, the first four digits are taken: 0270. In this case, the winner would be User 2 since the prize-winning number is within their block of participations.

What happens if the prize-winning number does not match any block of numbers

If it does not match, the digits will be rotated. Using the same example from before, if the prize-winning number is 98765 (instead of 10270), it is checked that 8765 is out of range. In this way, we move one position to the left and, by iterating, we get the following numbers:
· 9876 (does not match)
· 5987 (does not match)
· 6598 (does not match)
· 7659 (does not match)
If, after a full round, no combination matches, the result of the next ONCE raffle will be used. Assuming that the next ONCE raffle is 12345, taking the first four digits, we get 2345, so User 2 would be the winner as they are within their block. This process is repeated until there is a winner.

What happens if there are more than a hundred thousand participations

Suppose the following users have these participations:
User 1: 50000 participations
User 2: 20000 participations
User 3: 60000 participations

Further assuming that User 1 gets the first block, User 3 gets the second, and User 2 gets the third. The blocks would be as follows:
User 1 [000000-049000]
User 3 [050000-109999]
User 2 [110000-129999]

In this case, two consecutive ONCE raffles are taken (one from a day and the next from the following day). The first will form the first five digits starting with the units. Suppose these results:
Daily Coupon day 1: 12345
Daily Coupon day 2: 56789

The complete number would be 5678912345 from which the first six digits are taken since they are the only ones necessary to cover the entire range of values: 912345. As it does not match any block, one position is rotated to the left: 891234. Continuing without matching, we iterate until one matches:
789123 (does not match)
678912 (does not match)
567891 (does not match)
We loop and continue iterating:
556789 (does not match)
455678 (does not match)
345567 (does not match)
234556 (does not match)
123455 (matches!) User 2 has won.

In the case that no result matches after a full round, the result of the first day will be discarded and the digits of the second day's raffle will take their place, using the result of a third day. Assuming these results:
Daily Coupon day 2: 56789 (we already had it)
Daily Coupon day 3: 23410
The new resulting number will be 2341056789 from which we take the necessary digits: 056789. In this case, User 3 would be the winner.

When are the raffles

The raffles will take place every few months without prior notice. Once announced, the current scores will be taken and a new score counter will be opened. In this way, participation on the homepage from that moment on will only serve for the next raffle. This is intended to prevent sudden increases in participation in the days leading up to a raffle.
