Looking for tablet
-
Hello!, as some of you know from the forum, I'm looking for a tablet that will allow me to retire two others I have and my eeepc, in my eagerness above all to simplify my digital life, so I'm looking for something versatile that has these characteristics.Dual Boot
One of the uses I want to give it is streaming playback, especially sopcast and acestream, and I know they work very well on Windows.
On the other hand, Windows is not comfortable for me in a touch mode.
Having both also gives me much more versatility.
Between 8" and 10"
One of the uses is reading PDFs and other written documents, many of them scanned magazines, although for ePubs and others I already have the Kindle. Another will be to browse fluidly. Surely the ideal would be much closer to 10", but this increases the price, so at least it should have a sufficient resolution.
Then I have the doubt of 4:3 or 16:9/16:10. The first is better for reading pages and game emulation and the second for multimedia. There are not many options for 4:3.
Minimum features and maximum price
Micro Intel, 2Gb of RAM, 32Gb of storage and Bluetooth.
It would be good to have HDMI and more than one USB port but it is not something simple.
Price: I would not like it to exceed 100€, but I could stretch to 120/130€.
Candidates
For now 3 tables of 8":
Cube iWork8 Ultimate
Chuwi Vi8 Plus
Chuwi Hi8 ProThe main differences are that the Cube and the Vi8 have a resolution of 1280x800, while the Hi8 has 1920x1200.
The Cube seems to have a 3300mAh battery and the Hi8 4000mAh, while I can't find the Vi8 but maybe like its sister.
The Hi8 has Android 4.4 and the others 5.1.
The Chuwi have USB type C.
All are between 85 and 90€.
Uses
The ones commented but to summarize:
- Web browsing.
- Document reading.
- Streaming
- Emulation 8/16 bits.
- Use as a wildcard when I don't have a PC nearby.
Let's see what recommendations you can give me.
Thanks!

The truth is that I didn't know that x86 tablets were so cheap. Now I'm also interested in hearing opinions. It's probably not possible, but if it were possible to put Linux on there, they would be pretty interesting gadgets.
-
I also have doubts there, I don't know to what extent it will be possible to enter the BIOS to modify what is necessary to allow booting from other media or disable secure boot or whatever is necessary.

Hello, I have the Chuwi Vi8 that I paid about 50 pounds in a great deal. I've had iPads and Androids and I've never liked them. In the end, I don't use them much because I use my mobile more, but with Windows, I use it more. It's perfect for reading PDFs, Netflix, and browsing and travel uses, which is what I use it the most. The battery performs very well, it has lasted me about 10 hours watching videos. The sound is very bad for my taste, but with headphones, it's solved.
The screen has pretty good quality and the touch panel works really well, even in desktop mode, it surprised me. I like it with Windows because it can have almost all the programs you have on your desktop and, as you say, to use as a wildcard for certain programs, you can always connect a small mouse and work reasonably well.
I bought it on gearbeast in case you're interested -
I'm getting more and more confused :D, between the options available and having looked into Sopcast and Acestream on Android, which work perfectly, I'm not sure whether to go for one of these dual ones or one like the Xiaomi MiPad that you mentioned outside of broadcasting, hehe.

The xiaomi are very good and I imagine you can install windows too although it does not come as standard here they sent it from Spain it is on offer Xiaomi Mi Pad 7.9" Tablet PC Android 2GB+16GB QuadCore 2*Camera/WIFI BT Tablet

I've seen a video review and they say it's very good, especially for its screen and how it moves everything. Its processor could be ideal for browsing and viewing magazines and PDFs. The fact that it doesn't have 3G and GPS is somewhat irrelevant to me, for the former I always share mobile data and for the latter I wasn't going to use it anyway.

I have the Mipad 1 from Xioami and it cost me about 86€ from China thanks to a forum that gave me a tip and I was lucky with the purchase, that's for sure it took me about a month and a half to arrive. I didn't even bother to see if I could put Windows on it, for the 2 I think I can, but for the 1 I have no idea; but for the price it has it's a great deal today and it already has a couple of años.La 1 can put a micro sd to expand memory, the 2 can't... that's why the 1 is still in demand even though the 2 exists.
Honestly, if the size you have isn't too small for you; I didn't want a 10", you'll love it. I use it to read forums or to watch a movie - series when I travel and it works very well. Plus it has quite a lot of autonomy. It will depend on the type of use, but I've gotten more than 6 hours playing mkv. Another thing I like is that it's not panoramic, but that's a matter of taste.

Gosh, thank you! Let's see if life gives me a break and I order one now.

Well, there it is, the Xiaomi with 64Gb is going home. I'm not in a hurry, so let's see if while it's coming I have time to get rid of some of the other gadgets.
Thank you all very much!

Good luck with the shipment, I hope it doesn't take too long and it suits you well. I have the 16 Gigas version and as I said, for the price it has, I think it's a very good buy. Enjoy it. -
There is already a desire. Yesterday it left the starting point, now to wait and hope that everything goes well. I already have one of my tablets promised and another one that I will almost certainly donate to one of the children from disadvantaged families that a work colleague is taking.
